¿Cuáles son las tareas pendientes de la
ciudad con sus habitantes?
Para un alcalde y un municipio las tareas
son siempre una constante en cuanto a
mejorar calidad de vida, perfeccionar los
servicios de atención, diversificar el sistema
de ingresos económicos para potenciar los
mismos servicios y dar siempre una buena
acogida a quienes nos visitan con más y
mejores sistemas de cultura, seguridad y
recreación.
¿Cuándo finalmente se verán funcionales
los míticos ascensores de Valparaíso?
Los ascensores están funcionando. Hay
unos que están en el sistema de
recuperación mediante un programa que
aplicó el gobierno y esa tarea no ha sido
fácil por los costos y tiempos que toma
una situación así, pero vamos camino a la
operatividad del cien por ciento en
funcionamiento.
¿Cómo sueña a Valparaíso en los próximos
10 años?
Como una ciudad pujante y que sigue en la
tendencia que tenemos de aumentar el
turismo, diversificar sostenidamente los
servicios y así aumentar lo que ya va en
repunte y que es el empleo. Que se
concreten los proyectos inmobiliarios que
están en curso y que nuestra ciudadanía
colabore aún más en mantener a Valparaíso
como una ciudad limpia y hermosa.
What are the pending tasks of the city
with its inhabitants?
For a Mayor and its Council the aim is to
keep on improving the quality of life,
improve the health services, diversify the
income system to enhance these services
and always give a warm welcome to our
guests with a more culture, security and
entertainment.
When we will see the iconic elevators of
Valparaiso finally working?
The elevators are working. There are some
of them that are in a recovery system
through a Government Program and it has
not been an easy task because of the time
and cost that this requires, but we are
heading to a hundred percent of
functionality.
How do you imagine Valparaíso in 10 years
more?
As a thriving city who follows the trend of
increasing the tourism, steadily diversifying
the services and rising the employment.
That the ongoing building projects are
materialized and that our citizens
collaborate even more in keeping
Valparaiso as a clean and beautiful city. M
