OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS<br />
• Read th<strong>es</strong>e instructions carefully.<br />
• Before plugging the appliance into the mains supply, make sure that the voltage<br />
corr<strong>es</strong>ponds to that stated on the characteristics plate.<br />
• Uncoil the mains cable fully to prevent the risk of overheating. • Periodically inspect the<br />
appliance, including the mains cable, to check for signs of wear or damage. If th<strong>es</strong>e are<br />
pr<strong>es</strong>ent do not h<strong>es</strong>itate in taking it along to an Authorised Technical Service Centre<br />
• Do not operate the appliance with the cable still coiled.<br />
• Do not bend or Fold the appliance when in use. Keep it well spread<br />
• Avoid ironing permanent creas<strong>es</strong> into the unit.<br />
• Do not add a trim to the area where the electric conductors are.<br />
• Avoid placing the control unit below the pillow or between bedcloth<strong>es</strong> when the<br />
appliance is switched on.<br />
• The appliance must only be used with the type of control unit with which it is supplied.<br />
• Not to be used with children, the disabled or those sensitive to heat.<br />
• Overuse on a high setting could produce burns to the skin.<br />
• Do not pierce the appliance with needl<strong>es</strong> or other sharp objects.<br />
• Do not place objects (books, cas<strong>es</strong>, bags) or animals on top of the blanket as this will<br />
prevent the heat from circulating freely.<br />
• Unplug the appliance from the mains supply before proceeding to clean or maintain it.<br />
• Never unplug it by tugging on the mains cable.<br />
• WASH IN COLD WATER AT 40ºC MAXIMUM<br />
• DO NOT WASH OR WET THE SWITCH OR MAINS CABLE<br />
• Follow the washing instructions. DO NOT DRY CLEAN<br />
• Do not use the appliance if it is wet or damp. Make sure that it is completely dry before<br />
using it.<br />
• Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands while it is switched on..<br />
• Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight or rain.<br />
• Unplug the appliance from the mains when it is not in use Store it away in a dry place<br />
and do not place heavy objects on top of it.<br />
• It is only to be used as an over-blanket.<br />
• This appliance has not been d<strong>es</strong>igned for hospital use.<br />
• The mains cable must not be replaced by the user, if it becom<strong>es</strong> damaged or has to be<br />
replaced then take it along to a Service Centre recommen<strong>de</strong>d by the manufacturer.<br />
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS<br />
1- CONNECTING AND DISCONNECTING THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNIT<br />
THE BLANKET MUST ONLY BE USED WITH THE TYPE OF CONTROL UNIT SUPPLIED, THE<br />
MODEL IS SPECIFIED ON THE LABEL STITCHED TO THE PRODUCT.<br />
To connect the blanket’s temperature regulator unit, plug the unit’s connector (A) into<br />
socket (B) attached to the insi<strong>de</strong> of the blanket. (fig. 2) If it is a double blanket, then repeat<br />
the operation with the other connector. To make it easier to make the bed, we advise<br />
disconnecting connector (A) from the blanket by pr<strong>es</strong>sing the ends located on the sid<strong>es</strong><br />
of the connector. (C)
