preferencias de información

Endress+Hauser presentó
sus indicadores RID14 y
RID16
La empresa chilena de investigación
industrial Phibrand organizó el primer
desayuno anual con empresas proveedoras
de la minería, para conversar sobre
el primer estudio de comunicación
que se realizará en 2014 sobre las preferencias
de información en la industria
minera nacional.
El análisis revelará qué tipo de información
se consume dentro de la minería,
a través de qué canales y qué uso
le dan los profesionales que trabajan
en las principales compañías mineras.
Ariel Moll, jefe de Proyecto e investigador
senior de Phibrand, explicó que

La información de parámetros críticos
en la industria es un requerimiento
típico en plantas de proceso
que utilizan comunicaciones digitales,
donde Endress+Hauser ha estado
presente en los últimos años
a través de Foundation Fieldbus,
con los modelos RID14 y RID16. La
compañía informó que estos ahora
también están disponibles con el
protocolo Profibus PA.
Ambos indicadores de campo ofrecen
una gran pantalla retroiluminada
con cinco dígitos y una altura de caracteres
de 26 mm y 20,5 mm en el
RID16 y el RID14, respectivamente.
Un gráfico de barras para cada uno
de los valores de proceso entrega un
rápido panorama de la situación de
terreno, indicó la empresa.
A través de un campo de texto
editable adicional se pueden visualizar
tags o mensajes de error. De esta
forma se puede presentar la calidad
del valor medido, dependiendo de la
información que entregue en el momento.
Si el estado del valor desplegado
es "bueno", ningún símbolo se
enciende y el indicador permanece en
el estado de funcionamiento normal.
Si el estado del valor es "incierto", este
se ilumina. Y si el estado es "malo"
dentro de la zona de siete segmentos
en la pantalla aparecerá "bad", junto
con el número del canal donde el valor
malo fue publicado.

Information on critical parameters is
a typical requirement in processing
plants which use digital communications.
Endress+Hauser has been presented
in this area in recent years
through the Fieldbus Foundation and
its RID14 and RID16 models. The company
reported that those are now available
with the Profibus PA protocol.
Both field indicators offer a large
backlit five digit screen and a character
height of 26mm and 20.5mm
in RID16 and RID 14 respectively. A
bar graph for each of the process value
provides a rapid overview of the situation
in the field, the company said.
Error messages and tags can be
read in an additional editable text field.
This can show the quality of the value
being measured, depending on the
information provided at that moment.
If the status of the displayed value is
“good”, no symbol lights up and the
indicator continues to operate normally.
If the status of the value is “uncertain”,
then it lights up. If the status is
“bad”, then “bad” appears in the seven
segment zone on the screen together
with the number of channel
where the “bad” value was published.
