Literal reading
What’s?
It merely extracts the information given in the text, without adding any
interpretative value. The fundamental processes that lead to this level of
reading are: Observation, comparison, relationship, classification, change,
order and transformations.
It is divided into 2:
°Primary literal level: Centered on the ideas and information that is
explicitly presented in the text by recognition or evocation of facts.
°Secondary literal level: At this level, a deeper reading is made that allows
us to better understand the text, to recognize the ideas that arise in it and
how they relate to the main theme.
Procedure to understand literal reading.
°Read the general reading.
°Identify the idea
°Reread the first paragraph
°Build a paragraph diagram
°Make a synthesis summary type.
