All these models boast double shoulder straps in the<br />
back and coordinated with a g-string, thong briefs and a<br />
St. Tropez shorty in lace, as well as a top in embroidered<br />
fabric, an authentic prêt-à-porter model with smart couture<br />
flair. The coordinates are being presented in two colors:<br />
Soir, a chic, ladylike black, and Bonbon, an intense,<br />
feminine red.<br />
The Bow Collection also comes in a men’s version. Viktor<br />
& Rolf For Aubade Men includes three boxer models in<br />
a printed cotton-modal blend, in two color combinations<br />
(Bonbon and Soir or black and white) and playful variations<br />
on the bow theme. The collection will be made available<br />
in June of <strong>2019</strong> in selected multi-label boutiques,<br />
department stores, single-label boutiques and online via<br />
the Aubade website. For the campaign images, Viktor<br />
& Rolf have selected the Dutch photographer, Viviane<br />
Sassen, a friend and inspirational muse of the two designers.<br />
Viktor & Rolf is the name of a luxury brand, created back<br />
in 1993 by the artists, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren,<br />
after having graduated from the Academy of Art and<br />
Design in Arnhem. Viktor & Rolf became famous for their<br />
provocative haute couture look and conceptual glamour.<br />
Over the years their collections have always maintained<br />
a nonconformist vision of fashion, featuring creations<br />
imbued with a provocative, surrealistic spirit. The two<br />
Dutch designers have been presenting their collections<br />
during the fashion week in Paris since the spring-summer<br />
season of 1998 and have always also designed bridal<br />
and evening lines. Many luxury products bear the<br />
Viktor & Rolf brand, such as Viktor & Rolf Tulle, Viktor<br />
& Rolf Vision, an exclusive collection of eyewear, and the<br />
Flowerbomb, Spicebomb, Bonbon and Magic fragrances.<br />

Ethical and chic<br />
Unorthodox materials, sophisticated design and scrupulous<br />
attention to environmental concerns distinguish the<br />
brand’s lingerie and swimwear collections, created in partnership<br />
with ISA spa<br />
Always unmistakable, Stella McCartney’s style is characterized<br />
by an approach to design that emphasizes marked<br />
sartorial lines, a nonchalant sort of elegance and a naturally<br />
sexy attitude. Hardly an afterthought, this brand is<br />
deeply committed when it comes to issues like ethics and<br />
sustainability, ever attentive and diligent when it comes to<br />
the materials it uses and the environmental impact of the<br />
production processes. The acclamed designer has always<br />
been a vegetarian and doesn’t use animal fur or skin.<br />
This ethical, yet very chic, approach has been translated<br />
eloquently into her collections of lingerie and swimwear<br />
which are produced under license with an expert partner,<br />
namely, Isa spa, a leader in the production of high-end<br />
collections in the realm of underwear and beachwear. For<br />
the spring-summer season of <strong>2019</strong>, the lingerie proudly<br />
brandishing the Stella McCartney name displays seductive,<br />
natural lines, evoking the brand’s enormously successful<br />
prêt-à-porter collection. Delicate, romantic lace<br />
conspires with sporty-chic styling, while the materials include<br />
diaphanous fabrics, Swiss lace and details in mesh<br />
translated into exciting new models such as bandeau treatments,<br />
cropped tops and high-waisted shorts. The prints<br />
are a featured focus of the collection, in particular the floral<br />
patterns that evoke past epochs, the heart pattern and<br />
the celebrated star print in various sophisticated tones.<br />
Special mention should be made regarding the launching<br />
of the seamless swimwear line, featuring a minimalchic<br />
approach to design, punctuated with the distinctive<br />
Stella McCartney logo adorning the elastic waistbands.<br />
When it comes to the swimwear collection, for <strong>2019</strong> the<br />
brand’s contribution in terms of beachwear puts the focus<br />
on sustainable garments, made to the tune of 45% from<br />
materials produced with recycled Econyl nylon, a regenerated<br />
fiber made from salvaged fishing nets along with<br />
discarded remnants of nylon. Patterns and prints come<br />
together with lines that manage to deftly showcase a<br />
woman’s figure, resulting in models brimming with personality<br />
and oodles of glamorous fashion content, right in<br />
keeping with Stella McCartney’s vision of style. Among<br />
the featured patterns one finds lots of leopard spots in vibrant<br />
colors, like orange, yellow and turquoise, but there<br />
are also plenty of more classic tones, like red, white and<br />
navy, plus a delicate flesh tone called “nude”. The collection<br />
includes the legendary Kenya Bag, a beach bag made<br />
in partnership with the ethical Keniota Fashion Artisan<br />
project, an initiative contributing to the reduction of<br />
poverty on a global scale, bringing together craft-based<br />
producers and transforming them into global suppliers of<br />
the international fashion system.<br />
