ENGLISH TRANSLATION All these models boast double shoulder straps in the back and coordinated with a g-string, thong briefs and a St. Tropez shorty in lace, as well as a top in embroidered fabric, an authentic prêt-à-porter model with smart couture flair. The coordinates are being presented in two colors: Soir, a chic, ladylike black, and Bonbon, an intense, feminine red. The Bow Collection also comes in a men’s version. Viktor & Rolf For Aubade Men includes three boxer models in a printed cotton-modal blend, in two color combinations (Bonbon and Soir or black and white) and playful variations on the bow theme. The collection will be made available in June of 2019 in selected multi-label boutiques, department stores, single-label boutiques and online via the Aubade website. For the campaign images, Viktor & Rolf have selected the Dutch photographer, Viviane Sassen, a friend and inspirational muse of the two designers. Viktor & Rolf is the name of a luxury brand, created back in 1993 by the artists, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, after having graduated from the Academy of Art and Design in Arnhem. Viktor & Rolf became famous for their provocative haute couture look and conceptual glamour. Over the years their collections have always maintained a nonconformist vision of fashion, featuring creations imbued with a provocative, surrealistic spirit. The two Dutch designers have been presenting their collections during the fashion week in Paris since the spring-summer season of 1998 and have always also designed bridal and evening lines. Many luxury products bear the Viktor & Rolf brand, such as Viktor & Rolf Tulle, Viktor & Rolf Vision, an exclusive collection of eyewear, and the Flowerbomb, Spicebomb, Bonbon and Magic fragrances. APUNTES DE ESTILO/STYLE NOTES STELLA MCCARTNEY Ethical and chic Unorthodox materials, sophisticated design and scrupulous attention to environmental concerns distinguish the brand’s lingerie and swimwear collections, created in partnership with ISA spa Always unmistakable, Stella McCartney’s style is characterized by an approach to design that emphasizes marked sartorial lines, a nonchalant sort of elegance and a naturally sexy attitude. Hardly an afterthought, this brand is deeply committed when it comes to issues like ethics and sustainability, ever attentive and diligent when it comes to the materials it uses and the environmental impact of the production processes. The acclamed designer has always been a vegetarian and doesn’t use animal fur or skin. This ethical, yet very chic, approach has been translated eloquently into her collections of lingerie and swimwear which are produced under license with an expert partner, namely, Isa spa, a leader in the production of high-end collections in the realm of underwear and beachwear. For the spring-summer season of 2019, the lingerie proudly brandishing the Stella McCartney name displays seductive, natural lines, evoking the brand’s enormously successful prêt-à-porter collection. Delicate, romantic lace conspires with sporty-chic styling, while the materials include diaphanous fabrics, Swiss lace and details in mesh translated into exciting new models such as bandeau treatments, cropped tops and high-waisted shorts. The prints are a featured focus of the collection, in particular the floral patterns that evoke past epochs, the heart pattern and the celebrated star print in various sophisticated tones. Special mention should be made regarding the launching of the seamless swimwear line, featuring a minimalchic approach to design, punctuated with the distinctive Stella McCartney logo adorning the elastic waistbands. When it comes to the swimwear collection, for 2019 the brand’s contribution in terms of beachwear puts the focus on sustainable garments, made to the tune of 45% from materials produced with recycled Econyl nylon, a regenerated fiber made from salvaged fishing nets along with discarded remnants of nylon. Patterns and prints come together with lines that manage to deftly showcase a woman’s figure, resulting in models brimming with personality and oodles of glamorous fashion content, right in keeping with Stella McCartney’s vision of style. Among the featured patterns one finds lots of leopard spots in vibrant colors, like orange, yellow and turquoise, but there are also plenty of more classic tones, like red, white and navy, plus a delicate flesh tone called “nude”. The collection includes the legendary Kenya Bag, a beach bag made in partnership with the ethical Keniota Fashion Artisan project, an initiative contributing to the reduction of poverty on a global scale, bringing together craft-based producers and transforming them into global suppliers of the international fashion system.
