Axis was conceived with a vision of being
the most cutting-edge mill in the country,
setting us apart from competitors and
enabling the production of top-quality products.
Operating such a mill is a significant challenge,
everything must work seamlessly - People and
machines, thousands of components working in
unison.
I feel blessed to work with a team of dedicated
individuals who love what they do, take pride in
their work and in the products we manufacture.
This is one of the fundamental factors for the
success of Axis.
In our pursuit of excellence, having the finest
equipment and a skilled workforce is only part of
the equation. The missing link lies in the systems
that support these two components. This system
cannot simply be copied from another plant, as we
attempted with many processes from our sister
companies.
Like the renowned Toyota way, we need to
evolve our own system – The Axis Way. This system
will continue to be developed over the next year
and will focus on three key elements: People,
Quality, and Productivity, with the flexibility that the
market demands.
I’m very excited about the future of Axis. With
an exceptional team, improving quality standards,
a positive trend in the efficiency of our operations,
well-maintained equipment, and the development
of new capabilities, we are now starting to offer
products that stand out in the market, such as the
upcoming production for sub-sea application. We
are on our way to becoming the best API mill in the
USA, so let’s enjoy the journey.
