LES ATELIERS DE MAITRISE D’ŒUVRE URBAINE EN ASIE - En 2020 l'aéroport international de PUDONG, situé au bord de la mer à l'Est de l'agglomération, sera achevé et sa capacité sera de 70 millions de voyageurs par an : (soit 100 millions de voyageurs par an avec celui de HONG QIAO, à l'Ouest de l'agglomération existante). - 2020, the international airport of PUDONG, which is located East of the city, by the seaside, will be completed and it will be able to receive 70 million travellers per year. LES ATELIERS DE MAITRISE D’ŒUVRE URBAINE EN ASIE 6 LA POSITION DE L'EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE DANS L'AGGLOMERATION L'Exposition Universelle serait CENTRALE dans l'AGGLOMERATION car elle se localiserait sur l'AXE de développement EST-OUEST qui relie les 2 aéroports en passant par le centre ville: cet AXE ayant l'ambition d'être le squelette des fonctions principales de la ville tout comme celui du paysage de SHANGHAI. L'Exposition sera cependant à une certaine distance de ce qu'est la VILLE TRADITIONNELLE car les 300 hectares qui lui seraient affectés se situent à une vingtaine de kilomètres de la citadelle d'origine - qui est encore le cœur de la ville. Cette volonté d'irriguer les faubourgs de l'agglomération, d'équipements de premiers plans est encore la preuve de l'audace des responsables de la cité qui affirment ainsi la volonté de stimuler le développement des nouveaux quartiers et nouvelles villes. SHANGHAI possède 20 districts et le site de l'Exposition se trouve dans le nouveau quartier de PUDONG. Le nouveau quartier de PUDONG est la locomotive de développement et d'ouverture de la cité qui représente l'image du SHANGHAI futur: il comprend le CBD LUJIAZUI, d'une très grande envergure. Le quartier de PUDONG comprend aussi: - le centre ville de HUAMU - le quartier de haute technologie de ZHANGJIANG - la zone d'agriculture moderne de SUNQIAO qui sont en cours de construction. En 2020, ce secteur aura une population d'environ 200.000 habitants. La zone culturelle et touristique de HUA XIA sera, à la même époque, en cours de réalisation. Enfin, la ville manifeste la volonté que les terrains voisins soient proposés pour y réaliser des Jeux Olympiques. Encore une candidature exemplaire des appétits de la ville. Le site de l'Exposition Universelle sera proche de la ville nouvelle à l'Ouest de l'aéroport de PUDONG et voisin (au Sud-Ouest) du bourg de CHUANSHA (CHENGZHEN XIANG). Cette Ville Nouvelle est destinée à devenir ville moyenne .et sera caractérisée par l'industrie aérienne, le commerce et le trafic de marchandises. THE LOCATION OF THE WORLD FAIR IN THE AGGLOMERATION The Fair would actually have a central location in the city as it would be on the East-Western development AXIS linking the two existing airports and running through the city centre. The AXIS shall be the frame of the main functions and facilities of the city and is to play an important role in the skyline of SHANGHAI. The Fair would also be at a reasonable distance from the traditional city as the 300 hectares, which are meant for the Fair, are located about 20 km from the original citadel - still at the heart of the city. The desire to provide the outskirts of the city with first rate implementations and facilities is another sign of the daring innovations of the planning authorities, thus showing their desire to encourage the development of new districts and new towns. The city of SHANGHAI has 20 districts and the site of the World Fair is located in the new district of PUDONG. PUDONG is the dynamo of the city in term of development and opening to the world. It represents the future city of SHANGHAI: it includes the CBD LUJIAZUI of major importance. The PUDONG district also comprises: - the town centre of HUAMU - the high-tech area of ZHANGJIANG - the modern agriculture area of SUNQIAO all of them under construction or development The area will have around 200.000 inhabitants by the year 2020. The cultural and tourist area of HUA XIA will be developed at the very same time. The authorities of SHANGHAI have suggested the neighbouring site for Olympic Games. Another illustration of the exemplary ambition of the city. The site of the World Fair will be near the New Township located west of PUDONG Airport and in the vicinity of CHUANSHA (CHENGZHEN XIANG) - located South- West. The New Township is meant to become a middlesized town. The main activities of the area will be air industry, trade and traffic of goods.
