This has always been a famous topic<br />
among young women (wedded or not), a<br />
bone of contention, a heart troubler and<br />
an issue that can displace a young<br />
woman from the heart of her husband<br />
if not carefully handled and that which<br />
can send a mother-in-law to her early<br />
grave. It’s so unfortunate that both<br />
parties have mixed feelings when they<br />
are about to see each other for the very<br />
first time (cold feet, heart pumping fast,<br />
over conscious and unnecessarily<br />
sensitive to words). The question is why<br />
all these feelings? It is simple: the angel<br />
brought to your home introduced as a<br />
wife to be smiling and laughing with you<br />
could be a demon after marriage (for the<br />
mothers-in-law). Some mothers-in-law<br />
have an unintended and uncontrollable<br />
feeling of rejection and resentment<br />
towards their daughters-in-law. This ould<br />
be caused by one of the following three<br />
reasons:<br />
1. The eldest son is a source of<br />
compassion and love which mothers<br />
benefit from, especially at old age;<br />
therefore, they would not have good<br />
feelings towards those whom they think<br />
would deprive them from such a source.<br />
2. The mother, who has spent her<br />
entire life raising and caring for her<br />
children, finds it difficult to accept that<br />
the daughter-in-law, who has never<br />
shouldered such responsibilities, is able<br />
to properly care for her son.<br />
3. The mother-in-law could have<br />
different values, principles or even<br />
ideologies from the daughter-in-law. She<br />
believes that she can never be wrong<br />
(for the elites).<br />

Therefore it is very important to strike a<br />
balance or bring both of them on the<br />
same platform. Simply put there are<br />
some family strives that can be avoided<br />
if the game is well played. Basically,<br />
mothers-in-law are to be seen as our<br />
mothers. Honestly, we all do have<br />
misunderstanding with our mothers but<br />
that is not enough reason to disown our<br />
mothers or be rude towards them.<br />
Therefore it is important for us all to<br />
know how to win over our mothers-inlaw<br />
hearts.<br />
Every woman should always remember<br />
that one day you will become a motherin-law<br />
and a golden rule that should<br />
never be forgotten is ‘Never to start off<br />
with a bad relationship’, for instance<br />
reading meanings to gestures.
