Electric shock hazard<br />

Even when the appliance is switched off at the ON/<br />

OFF switch 8, the electrical parts, as in most<br />

electrical appliances, are still live. As water is a very<br />

good conductor of electricity, it is especially<br />

important to comply with the following safety<br />

instructions!<br />

• Do not use the appliance in the bathroom.<br />

• If the appliance falls into water, do not reach into<br />

the water.<br />

• Remove the plug b immediately.<br />

• Do not immerse or drop the appliance in water or<br />

other liquids.<br />

• Do not put the appliance down or store it in a place<br />

where it can fall or be pulled into a washbasin or<br />

bathtub.<br />

• After using the appliance remove the plug b<br />

immediately.<br />

• Risk of ignition – Flammable mousses, sprays,<br />

gases or highly flammable materials – e.g. synthetic<br />

tulle – must not come into contact with the<br />

heating elements 1 or be used near the<br />

appliance.<br />

• Observe the product information supplied by the<br />

manufacturer.<br />

• Do not use benzine, paint thinners or other highly<br />

flammable substances for cleaning.<br />

• The appliance must not be covered by towels or<br />

similar items.<br />

• Under no circumstances should the ventilation<br />

openings 2 of the appliance be covered or the<br />

appliance put down on a soft surface such as a bed<br />

or sofa, as this may block off the ventilation openings<br />

2. Make sure that the ventilation openings<br />

2 are not blokked by foreign bodies such as hair,<br />

etc.<br />

• Do not use the appliance outdoors or in places<br />

where aerosols (sprays) are used.<br />
