4 Preparing appliance

The socket outlet with earthing contact must have at least 10 ampere protection.
We recommend that the wiring in your salon is protected with a residual current
circuit breaker (RCCB) (Release current maximum 30 mA) fitted by your electrician.
4.1.1 Connecting to mains
1. Check plug b and mains cable a for damage.
NOTE
Power supply voltage
• The power supply voltage of the appliance can be found on the
rating plate 1 on the underside of the control panel 6.
2. Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the information on the rating
plate 1.
3. Using the handle 7 move the pedestal appliance to the place where treatment
is to be performed.
4. Insert plug b of pedestal version into a socket.
Electric shock hazard (only wall-mounted version)
• In the event of an electrical short circuit, earthing reduces the risk
of an electric shock.
• The wall-mounted version (protection class I) should only be used
with a properly earthed socket outlet with earthing contact.
5. Insert plug b of wall-mounted version into a properly earthed socket outlet
with earthing contact.
6. Arrange mains cable a so no-one can trip over it (only pedestal version).
4.1.2 Disconnecting from mains

• Do not pull on the mains cable a.
• Do not squash, kink or hang the mains cable a over the heating
elements 1.
• Keep the mains cable a away from heated surfaces.
1. Switch off appliance at the ON/OFF switch 8.
2. Disconnect from mains by gripping and pulling out plug b.
NOTICE
Damage to the appliance
• Do not wind the mains cable a around the side arms, as the mains
cable a will get trapped when the side arms are folded in.
3. Wind the mains cable a around the cable hook 9 (only pedestal version) to
avoid tripping and falling.
