5. Setting of volumetric flows for hydraulic calibration MC/UC
Requirements for the presetting of both volumetric flows
1. All radiator valves and e.g. under floor heating have to be set at the maximum flow-rate.
2. Mixer at Thermix is fully opened (no admixing), bypass is closed.
3. Pump at Thermix is activated.
4. Wall mounted boiler is in operation.
The required volumetric flow for the unmixed and mixed circuit, as well as the required pump levels at the boiler and Thermix pump is to be
taken from the attached table according to heat requirement. The flow rate at the individual flow rate gauges is to be adjusted as follows:
1. Adjust the determined pump levels at the boiler and Thermix pump.
2. Adjust the determined volumetric flow of the under floor heating by means of the alignment valve.
3. Fine adjustment takes place with both alignment valves until the quoted volumetric flows are reached.
If a higher heat requirement of the mixer circuit is required, the Thermix pump is to be adjusted to the higher
level and the calibration has to be performed once more. All changes in the heating circuit heat requirement (e.g. enlargement of the heating
floor surface) require another adjustment in the volumetric flow.
With assembly and operational all valid norms and regulationsare to be followed and observed!
Connection example of an unmixed and a mixed heating circuit with Thermix. Two flow rate limiters with display are used to set the required
volumetric flows for both heating circuits.
