To Change a Rule<br />

Zend Server <strong>Reference</strong> Manual<br />

The following procedure describes how to change a rule. By default, all rules are set with predefined<br />

conditions. Each rule has different parameters that can be configured based on what the rule monitors.<br />

See Advanced Diagnostics with Zend Server for more information on the available rule types.<br />

To change a rule:<br />

1. In Rule Management | Monitoring click on a rule.<br />

The rule will open for editing.<br />

2. change the settings according to the rules configuration options.<br />

Each rule has different settings.<br />

3. Define the actions that will be applied to the rule.<br />

If you define an action for an event it will show-up in Rule Management | Monitoring in<br />

the Event Actions column.<br />

4. Click to save.<br />

5. To apply the changes click .<br />

The rule will now start generating Events based on the new settings.<br />

Once you have set actions for an event (tracing and send mail), you can deactivate these actions from<br />

the main page (Rule Management | Monitoring) by selecting a rule or multiple rules from the list and from<br />

the bottom of the page in the drop-down list, choose the applicable option:<br />

Enable Emailing Action<br />

Disable Emailing Action<br />

Enable Code Tracing Action<br />

Disable Code Tracing Action<br />
