18. Subsection 24 (1) of the By-Law is amended by striking out “to practise law inOntario as a barrister and solicitor/ d’exercer le droit en Ontario à titre d’avocat oud’avocate”.19. Subclause 26 (1) (a) (ii) of the By-Law is revoked and the following substituted:(ii)that all clients’ matters have beencompleted and disposed of or thatarrangements have been made to theclients’ satisfaction to have their papersreturned to them or turned over tosome other appropriate licensee or,alternatively, that the applicant,1. has not practised law in Ontarioas a barrister and solicitor orhas not provided legal servicesin Ontario, or(ii)les dossiers de tous les clients ont étéréglés et fermés ou des dispositionsont été prises à la satisfaction desclients pour que leurs documents leursoient rendus ou soient transmis à unautre ou à une autre titulaire de permispertinent, ou bien le requérant ou larequérante :1. soit n’a pas exercé le droit enOntario à titre d’avocat oud’avocate ou n’a pas fourni desservices juridiques en Ontario,2. has practised law in Ontario asa barrister and solicitor or hasprovided legal services inOntario, but only incircumstances in which he orshe is permitted under the Actto do so without a licence;2. soit a exercé le droit en Ontarioà titre d’avocat ou d’avocate oua fourni des services juridiquesen Ontario, mais seulementdans des circonstances où il ouelle est autorisé, dans le cadrede la Loi, à ce faire sans permis;20. Subclause 26 (1) (a) (iii) of the French version of the By-Law is amended bystriking out “ou avec son exercice du droit en Ontario” and substituting “ou à l’égard dela façon dont il ou elle exerce le droit en Ontario ou fournit des services juridiques enOntario”.22. Subclause 26 (1) (a) (iv) of the By-Law is amended by adding “if the applicant haspractised law in Ontario/ s’il ou si elle a exercé le droit en Ontario,” after “that” andbefore “the applicant has paid all insurance premiums/ le requérant ou la requérante apayé toutes les contributions au titre des assurances”.13
