BY-LAWS MADE UNDERSUBSECTIONS 62 (0.1) AND (1) OF THE LAW SOCIETY ACTBY-LAW 4[LICENSING]THAT By-<strong>Law</strong> 4 [Licensing], made by <strong>Convocation</strong> on May 1, 2007 and amended on May 25,2007, June 28, 2007, September 20, 2007, January 24, 2008, April 24, 2008, May 22, 2008,and June 26, 2008 be further amended as follows:1. Subparagraph 1 i <strong>of</strong> subsection 9 (1) <strong>of</strong> By-<strong>Law</strong> 4 is amended by adding “or jurisdoctor/ ou un doctorat” after “bachelor <strong>of</strong> laws/ baccalauréat” and before “degree from alaw school/ en droit”.2. Paragraph 3 <strong>of</strong> subsection 9 (1) <strong>of</strong> the By-<strong>Law</strong> is revoked.3. Paragraph 4 <strong>of</strong> subsection 9 (1) <strong>of</strong> the By-<strong>Law</strong> is amended by adding “other thanthe applicant described in paragraph 4/ qui n’est pas visé à la disposition 4” after “<strong>The</strong>applicant/ la requérante” and before “must have/ doit”, by revoking the word “and” at theend <strong>of</strong> subparagraph i, by revoking subparagraph ii, and by adding the followingsubparagraphs and paragraph after subparagraph i:ii.successfully completed all otherrequirements, as determined bythe <strong>Society</strong>, that must becompleted during the time <strong>of</strong>service under articles <strong>of</strong> clerkship,andii.avoir satisfait à toutes lesautres exigences fixées par leBarreau auxquelles il doit êtresatisfait pendant le temps deservice prévu en vertu de laconvention de stage,iii.if service under articles <strong>of</strong>clerkship was completed morethan three years prior to theapplication for licensing,successfully completed theadditional education and obtainedthe additional experience that the<strong>Society</strong> determines is necessaryto ensure that the applicant isfamiliar with current law andpractice.4.
