ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT • EXIGENCES DE FORMATION UNIVERSITAIREList and Non-List Confirmatory Program CandidatesThe CCPE maintains a list of international institutionswhich meet criteria established by the Foreign EngineeringQualifications Committee (FEQC) of the CEQB. This "Listof Foreign Engineering Educational Institutions andProfessional Qualifications", is referred to as the "CCPEList". The CCPE List includes “list notes” on each countrythat should be read in conjunction with the List.Candidats dont le diplôme est inscrit ou non surla Liste des établissements étrangers du CCILe CCI tient à jour une liste des établissements universitairesinternationaux qui satisfont aux critères établis parle Comité des qualifications en génie à l’étranger (CQGE)du Bureau canadien des conditions d’admission en génie(BCCAG). On appelle généralement " Liste du CCI " cetteliste des établissements d’enseignement du génie et desqualifications professionnelles des pays étrangers. LaListe du CCI comprend, pour chaque pays, des notescomplémentaires qu’on a intérêt à consulter parallèlementà la Liste.CCPE also conducts an initial assessment (IA) of credentialsfor potential immigrant engineers for immigrationpurposes. The IA includes a review of transcripts and averification that the degree submitted is an engineeringdegree. L’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) conductsits own verification of credentials for immigrantsbecause the government of the province of Québec hasan agreement with the federal government giving it jurisdictionover immigration.Le CCI effectue aussi une évaluation initiale (EI) des titresde compétence des ingénieurs immigrants potentielsaux fins des démarches d’immigration. L’EI comprendune vérification des relevés de notes et du diplômedevant démontrer une formation en génie. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT • EXIGENCES DE FORMATION UNIVERSITAIREThe CCPE Initial Assessment process is described inInterpretive Guide V - (Admission) “CCPE’s InitialAssessment Program”.Applicants who receive a positive IA result may be assessedunder the List Confirmatory Program.Applicants who hold a degree from an institution whichis on the CCPE List, should be assessed under the ListConfirmatory Program, however, the Associations/Ordreshould verify, through a review of the transcripts and the“List Notes”, that the degree is an engineering degreeand that it is of the appropriate level for that country.Applicants who hold an engineering degree from aninstitution which is not on the CCPE List, should beassessed under the Non-List Confirmatory Programreferred to in this section.Associations/Ordre may opt to evaluate academic qualificationof senior practitioners with over ten years ofexperience by means of an interview in combination withsome or all of a confirmatory examination program.Reference should be made to the Interpretive Guide III -(Admission) "Conducting Interviews in Lieu ofConfirmatory Examinations".Applicants who successfully complete all confirmatoryexaminations assigned are normally considered academicallyqualified as of the date of receipt of theirundergraduate degrees.Le processus d’évaluation initiale (EI) du CCI est décritau Guide d’interprétation V (Admission) : Programmed’évaluation initiale du CCI.Les candidats ayant obtenu des résultats positifs lors del’évaluation initiale sont soumis aux examens de contrôle.Les candidats diplômés d’un établissement d’enseignementinscrit sur la Liste du CCI doivent se soumettre aux examensde contrôle pour cette catégorie. Cependant, lesassociations/ordre devraient s’assurer, en consultant ledossier et les notes de la Liste du CCI, qu’il s’agit biend’un diplôme en ingénierie et que ce diplôme correspondà un niveau adéquat dans le pays d’origine. Les candidatstitulaires d’un diplôme d’ingénierie d’un établissementne figurant pas sur la Liste du CCI devraient être soumisaux examens pour cette catégorie.Les associations/ordre peuvent choisir d’évaluer lestitres universitaires d’ingénieurs chevronnés ayant plusde dix (10) ans d’expérience grâce à des entrevues, combinéesen tout ou en partie à un programme d’examensde contrôle.
