I- CCPE MUTUAL RECOGNITION AGREEMENTS, ETCI- ENTENTES DE RECONNAISSANCE MUTUELLE DU CCICCPE is currently a signatoryto four international agreements:1. Mutual Recognition Agreement between the AccreditationBoard for Engineering and Technology, Inc.and the Canadian Council of Professional Engineers;2. The Washington Accord - Recognition of Equivalencyof Accredited Engineering Education Programs Leadingto the Engineering Degree;3. Mutual Recognition of Registered/Licensed Engineersby Jurisdictions of Canada, the United States ofAmerica and the United Mexican States to FacilitateMobility in Accordance with North American FreeTrade Agreement; and,4. Mutual Recognition Agreement for Practice as aProfessional Engineer between the Commission destitres d’ingénieur (CTI) for France and the CanadianCouncil of Professional Engineers for Canada.CCPE may provide additional information to the constituentAssociations/Ordre on these agreements. Associations/Ordre are asked to take note of this additional informationwhich is intended to provide an understanding of the differencesamong accreditation systems and engineeringprograms. This additional information may also highlighteffective dates of agreements and eligibility criteria. Theseagreements are briefly described in the following sections.Le CCI est en ce moment signatairede quatre accords internationaux :1. Les associations/ordre sont priés de tenir comptede ces renseignements supplémentaires, qui visent à permettrela compréhension des différences entre les systèmesd’accréditation et les programmes de génie. Ils peuventaussi servir à préciser les dates d’entrée en vigueur desententes et les critères d’admissibilité. Les quatre accordssont brièvement décrits dans les paragraphes qui suivent.1.
