production, volume sold, and sales value of the water supply always show positive trend,
although the increase is only slightly on the production of water.
CONSTRUCTION
In 2009, construction companies in Kulon Progo Regency classified into G2, G3,
G4, G5, G6 and G7 by a new regulation of IUJK. The number of building contractors is
387 with G2 classification = 179 contractors, G3 = 121 contractors, G4 = 83
contractors, G5 = 4 contractors, while there is no contractor can comply with the G6
and G7 criteria.
Derived from the data above, number of contractors can be can be classified into
several type of business specialization. The numbers of architecture contractors are 160
contractors, civil 193 contractors, electrics 2 contractor and environment management
32 contractors.
Samples of the Annual Survey of Construction in 2009 were 9 companies, while for
2008 there were 26 companies. So the samples was downsized 65,38 percent from 2008
to 2009.
From the observation of the costs percentage for construction companies from
2008 to 2009, the cost of building materials was the largest expenditure, with 65,46
percent in 2008 and rose to 84,46 percent in 2009. The second largest expenditure is the
expenditure for daily workers, with 22,10 percent for 2008 and 3,88 percent for 2009,
then followed by fixed labor costs, fuel, and other expenses respectively. Expenditures
for subcontracted work in 2009 was 3.81 per cent, whereas in 2008 these expenses did
not exist.
Revenues from the value of the finished contract from the construction sector
activity in 2009 reached 95,12 percent of all revenues received. Meanwhile, revenue
from lease of equipment/machinery was 4,85 percent and the remaining 0,03 percent
came from other income. Likewise, for the revenue of construction sector in 2008, where
the largest source of income derived from the value of the finished contract by 99,22
