7.3 PROOF OF PURCHASE<br />

The time of purchase must be verified based on an invoice or sales receipt and the<br />

warranty certificate. We are under no warranty obligations without such proof.<br />

7.4 WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS<br />

The warranty before expiry of the warranty period is void in the event of:<br />

• Wear and tear<br />

Fireclay:<br />

Fireclay is a natural product subjected to expansion and contraction during the<br />

heating process. This may create cracks. For as long as the fireclay remains in<br />

position in the fire chamber and does not break, it remains fully functional.<br />

Surfaces:<br />

Discoloration of the enammel or galvanized surfaces caused by thermal stress or<br />

overload.<br />

Seals:<br />

Reduced sealing due to thermal stress and hardening.<br />

Glass panes:<br />

Soiling caused by soot or burnt-in residues of burnt materials as well as visibly<br />

changed colour or other aspects due to thermal stress.<br />

• Improper transportation and/or incorrect storage<br />

• Fragile components such as glass and ceramics<br />

• Improper handling and/or use<br />

• Lack of maintenance<br />

• Incorrect installation or connection of the unit<br />

• Non-observance of the installation and operating instructions<br />

• Technical modifications to our unit by third parties<br />

7.5 DEFECT REMEDIATION – REPAIRS<br />

During the warranty period we shall rectify all defects verifiably due to material or manufacturing<br />

defects free of charge, provided the specialist service center is notified as<br />

soon as possible and has submitted a written assessment of the damage/maintenance<br />

event. Any further compensation for damages is excluded.<br />

During the first year after delivery we shall remedy accepted cases without charging<br />

for ancillary costs accrued (hotel, expense allowances, mileage allowance etc.). After<br />

expiry of the 6-month period, we shall charge the customer all ancillary costs accruing<br />

to us in the course of a customer service appointment for the replacement of wearing<br />

parts. This is also applicable to customer service appointments not made on request<br />

and responsibility of ourselves.<br />

The warranty period shall be neither extended nor re-started after repairs to the units<br />

or replacement of various components. The replaced components are covered by the<br />

legally prescribed warranty periods.<br />
