7.3 PROOF OF PURCHASE The time of purchase must be verified based on an invoice or sales receipt and the warranty certificate. We are under no warranty obligations without such proof. 7.4 WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS The warranty before expiry of the warranty period is void in the event of: • Wear and tear Fireclay: Fireclay is a natural product subjected to expansion and contraction during the heating process. This may create cracks. For as long as the fireclay remains in position in the fire chamber and does not break, it remains fully functional. Surfaces: Discoloration of the enammel or galvanized surfaces caused by thermal stress or overload. Seals: Reduced sealing due to thermal stress and hardening. Glass panes: Soiling caused by soot or burnt-in residues of burnt materials as well as visibly changed colour or other aspects due to thermal stress. GB 18 • Improper transportation and/or incorrect storage • Fragile components such as glass and ceramics • Improper handling and/or use • Lack of maintenance • Incorrect installation or connection of the unit • Non-observance of the installation and operating instructions • Technical modifications to our unit by third parties 7.5 DEFECT REMEDIATION – REPAIRS During the warranty period we shall rectify all defects verifiably due to material or manufacturing defects free of charge, provided the specialist service center is notified as soon as possible and has submitted a written assessment of the damage/maintenance event. Any further compensation for damages is excluded. During the first year after delivery we shall remedy accepted cases without charging for ancillary costs accrued (hotel, expense allowances, mileage allowance etc.). After expiry of the 6-month period, we shall charge the customer all ancillary costs accruing to us in the course of a customer service appointment for the replacement of wearing parts. This is also applicable to customer service appointments not made on request and responsibility of ourselves. The warranty period shall be neither extended nor re-started after repairs to the units or replacement of various components. The replaced components are covered by the legally prescribed warranty periods. Chapter 7
7.6 SPARE PARTS No spare parts other than recommended by the manufacturer may be used. 7.7 LIABILITY No damages shall be recognized other than damages to units supplied by us, unless otherwise required by law or adjudicated. 7.8 NOTE Your specialist dealer will gladly advise and assist you also in matters not subject to our warranties.
