Sto leggendo il report di ML, non mi sembra granche' come livello di analisi
"If any instrument that has a call and a step-up between 12th September 2010 and 1st January 2013 is in
fact not called at its effective maturity date, it will be fully derecognised in that tier of regulatory capital
from 1 January 2013."
So, no grandfathering either as T1 or T2 of жoldт T1s: after January 2013 such an instrument is
effectively out of regulatory capital. Whilst this may not argue for an immediate call for the next crop of
callable T1s (since in theory the instrument can remain in regulatory capital for another 2 years, to the end
of 2012), see Table 1 on the left we think it pretty much forces most issuers to call at the first call date
if they can. This is good news for the pull to par in most of these securities, in our view.
Quindi ML sembra implicitamente dire (grassetto nero) che il vecchio T1 puo' essere considerato nuovo T2
in altri casi....
