Failureto comply with safety reference could invalidateall warrantly/damage claims.In detail, non-compliance may e.g. cause the followingdanger situations:• Failure of important pump or machinery functions• Injury resulting from electrical or mechanical factors2.4 Safety reference for the operatorRuling local regulations on the prevention of accidentsmust be observed.Danger from electrical energy must be excluded(conforming to local and general regulations).The lifting eyebolts of the motor are suitable forthe weight of the motor. It´s not allowed to carrythe complete pump on the lifting eyebolts of themotor.2.5 Safety reference for inspections andinstallationIt is the operators responsibility to ensure that allinspection and installation work is carried out byauthorized and qualified personnel only, afterhaving made themselves fully conversant withthese instructions.On principle, work must be carried out only withthe pump/plant switched off and at completestandstill.2.6 Arbitary alterations and spare partsprocurementAny alterations to the pump/plant are only permittedif authorized by the manufacturers. Originalspare parts ensure safety and reliability. Theuse of unauthorized parts could invalidate anyclaims for consequential damages.2.7 Inadmissible operating conditionsOperational safety of the plant is only ensured ifused in strict accordance with chapter 1 of theseinstructions. Limits stated in catalogue/data sheetmust not be exceeded under any circumstances.3 Transport and intermediate storageATTENTION!The pump must be protected from moistureand mechanical damage at all timesduring transport and intermediate storage.It must be carefully handled by meansof authorized lifting gear.The lifting gear has to be fitted on thepumpflanges and perhaps on the outerdiameter of the motor (Attention: the liftinggear has to be fixed against slide slip!). Thelifting eyebolts on the motor are only suitablefor fixing the position of the liftinggear.4 Description of product and accessories4.1 Description of the pumpsAll pumps dealt with herein are single-stage, lowpressurecentrifugal pumps in monoblock design,with extended single motor/pump shaft. Thepumps can be installed either pipe-supported insufficiently anchored pipework or base-mountedon a plinth.Its capacity can be infinitely varied if used in conjunctionwith the respective control gear (Wilo-CR-System). This will enable an optimum adaptationof pump performance to actual load demandsand an economical pump operation.• IPL: The pump housing is of the inline designwith suction and discharge connection axially inline (Fig.1). All pump housings are designed withthe possibility of base mounting on a plinth.Pumps with a power 5,5kW and above to bebased mounted.• DPL: Two pumps heads mounted in a commonhousing (double-pump), the pump housing isbeing of inline design (Fig.2).
