Uso e Manutenzione AvvolgifioccoFurler’s use and maintenanceISTRUZIONI DI MONTAGGIOINSTALLATIONC■ C-8 Montaggio dell'avvolgifiocco con alberoarmatoIn questo caso non è necessario smontare lo strallo,ma è sufficiente scollegarlo dalla landa di prua pereseguire il montaggio dell'avvolgifiocco.Adottando questa soluzione i profili non sono sottopostiallo stress derivato dalla inevitabileflessione in fase di installazione dello strallo sull'albero.PERICOLOPrima di scollegare lo strallo dalla landa di pruaassicurarsi che sia stata applicata una drizza disicurezza.Per eseguire il montaggio seguire la procedura descrittaper l'installazione con strallo a terra adottandoalcuni importanti accorgimenti:• Per evitare che il profilo montato sullo strallocada, inserire la testa girevole e mandarla in battutasull'anello di fermo.Collegare la drizza sull'attacco relativo ed unapiccola cima per il recupero sull'attacco di penna.Mettere in tiro la drizza e sollevarla ripetutamenteman mano che i profili vengono assemblati.Al termine del montaggio recuperare la testa girevoleammainandola.■ C-8 How to install the furler on armed mastYou do not have to take the stay off to carry out theinstallation, it is enough to disconnect it from thechain plate. If you choose this solution the extrusionswill not go through the stress caused by theinevitable bending when connecting the stay to themast.DANGERMake sure you have attached the stay to a safetyhalyard before disconnecting it from the chainplate.Follow the procedure described in the paragraphsconcerning the installation with the stay on theground with some important differences:• When you assemble the foils on the stay, insertthe halyard swivel in order to prevent them fromfalling. The swivel will be stopped by the lockring of the terminal foil.Attach the halyard to its connection, and a shortrecovery line to the peak shackleLift the halyard as you assemble the foils.Take down the swivel when the installation isover.24Edit. 11.2002

Questacondizione, suggerita dall’esperienza,è fondamentale perevitare che durante il funzionamentodell’avvolgifiocco la drizzasi incattivi in esso.Per montare il bozzello orientabileoccorre:- posizionare il bozzello sullafaccia prodiera dell’albero, acirca 350 mm sotto la testadell’albero stesso in modo chesia assicurato un angolo dialmeno 10 gradi fra drizza estrallo;- marcare sull’albero con unapunta da segno la posizionedei fori di fissaggio;✔ WARNINGThe halyard swinging block hasan important function. It takescare that the halyard and thestay form an angle of at least 10degrees. This condition hasbeen suggested by experienceand it is fundamental if you donot want the halyard to getstuck in the furler when this isworking.In order to install the halyardswinging block you have to:- position the block on themast’s foreface, at about 350mm under the mast’s top toensure the 10° angle betweenhalyard and stay;10°36- mark the position of the fixingholes on the mast with a markbit;- forare l’albero, con una puntaø 5 mm, in corrispondenza deisegni tracciati; fissarvi ilbozzello coi rivetti in dotazione;passare poi la drizza utilizzataper l'avvolgifiocco all'internodel bozzello. Ora il montaggiodell’avvolgifiocco ècompletato.350 mmdrill the mast with a ø 5 mmdrill; rivet in the block with therivets supplied; then let thehalyard used for the furler passinside the block. Now the installationof the furler is complete.ATTENZIONEE' molto importante che, nellefasi di avvolgimento e svolgimentodell'avvolgifiocco, lostrallo di prua sia ben tesato.Quando necessario regolarnela tensione unitamente aquella dello strallo di poppa.CAUTIONThe forestay has always to betightened when furling and unfurling.Adjust its tension togetherwith the backstay’swhen necessary.Edit. 11.200225
