Spinto da John Brookes al The Royal Botanic Gardens, Cleve<br />

West è un membro <strong>del</strong>la Society of Garden Designers. E’<br />

stato membro <strong>del</strong>la giuria per la Royal Horticultural Society<br />

alle mostre di Hampton e di Chelsea. Noto come progettista<br />

di giardini innovativi. Vince la Medaglia d’Oro al Chelsea<br />

Flower Show nel 2006 e nel 2008. Nel <strong>2011</strong> vince la<br />

Medaglia d’Oro e Best in Show Award. Nel 2008 il giardino<br />

BUPA è stato accolto con plauso universale. Il suo primo libro,<br />

‘Our Plot’, sarà pubblicato da Frances Lincoln nel mese di<br />

ottobre <strong>2011</strong>.<br />

Trained by John Brookes at The Royal Botanic Gardens, Cleve<br />

West is a member of the Society of Garden Designers and<br />

has judged for the Royal Horticultural Society at the Hampton<br />

Court and Chelsea. He has built a reputation for innovative<br />

garden landscapes. Cleve received an RHS Gold Medal at the<br />

Chelsea Flower Show in 2006, 2008 and in <strong>2011</strong> won a Gold<br />

Medal and the Best in Show award. The 2008 BUPA garden<br />

was met with universal acclaim. His first book, ‘Our Plot’, will<br />

be published by Frances Lincoln in October <strong>2011</strong>.<br />

Architetto, paesaggista, vive e opera a Roma. Professore<br />

ordinario di Architettura <strong>del</strong> paesaggio presso l’Università<br />

“Mediterranea” di Reggio Calabria, dove è stato direttore<br />

<strong>del</strong> Dipartimento Oasi ed è coordinatore <strong>del</strong> Dottorato di<br />

Architettura dei parchi, dei giardini e assetto <strong>del</strong> territorio.<br />

Chévalier des arts et lettres, Ministère de la culture,<br />

France. Premio europeo Gubbio 2009. Presidente<br />

<strong>del</strong>la Giuria <strong>del</strong>la VI Biennale Europea di <strong>Paesaggio</strong><br />

di Barcellona, 2010. Molte opere realizzate in Italia e<br />

all’estero. E’ autore di saggi e film.<br />

Both an architect and landscape architect, Mr. Zagari<br />

lives and works in Rome. He is a professor in landscape<br />

architecture at “Mediterranea” University in Reggio<br />

Calabria where he previously ran the “Dipartimento Oasi”<br />

and is co-ordinator of the Doctorate programme in parks,<br />

gardens and landscape planning. Chévalier des arts et<br />

winner. He was president of the jury at the VI European<br />

Biennial of the Landscape, Barcellona, 2010. He has<br />

worked in Italy and abroad and is an author of short<br />

Lodewijk<br />

BALJON<br />

Lodewijk si è laureato in Progettazione dei Parchi presso<br />

la Wageningen University. Dal 1986 ha aperto uno<br />

studio ad Amsterdam, dove collabora con un team di<br />

10 progettisti. Lavora su una vasta gamma di progetti,<br />

dal privato al pubblico e dall’architettura <strong>del</strong> paesaggio<br />

all’urban design. Vincitore di numerosi premi tra cui<br />

l’Omgevingsarchitectuurprijs, il più prestigioso per la<br />

progettazione urbana nei Paesi Bassi.<br />

Lodewijk graduated with merit from Wageningen<br />

University and received his PhD in 1992 with a degree in<br />

the Planning of Parks. He opened his Amsterdam studio in<br />

1996 where he collaborates with a team of 10 designers<br />

working on a variety of projects ranging from private to<br />

public projects and from landscape architecture to urban<br />

design. He has won numerous awards, including He was<br />

awarded the most prestigious prize for urban design in<br />

the Netherlands Omgevingsarchitectuurprijs.<br />

Emanuele<br />

BORTOLOTTI<br />

Agronomo, specializzato in progettazione (di parchi,<br />

giardini e insediamenti residenziali) e nelle tecnologie<br />

realizzative. Consulente e collaboratore di numerose<br />

riviste tra cui “Brava Casa” su temi inerenti alla cultura<br />

<strong>del</strong> giardino e <strong>del</strong> paesaggio.<br />

Emanuele Bortolotti is an agronomist specialising in<br />

design (of parks, gardens and private residences)<br />

and related technology. He works as a consultant and<br />

collaborator for numerous magazines including “Brava<br />

Casa”, dealing with topics related to the culture of the<br />

landscape and garden.<br />

Nato in Toscana, si trasferisce a Londra per studiare<br />

garden design alla Inchbald School of Design. Laureatosi<br />

con lode, lavora come designer assistente di Anthony<br />

Paul, prima di aprire un proprio studio, il Luciano Giubbilei<br />

Design, nel 1997. Caratterizzati da un design di alta<br />

qualità e dal tratto distintivo, i suoi progetti sono richiesti<br />

a livello internazionale. Ha vinto una medaglia d’oro<br />

al RHS Chelsea Flower Show nel 2009 con il giardino<br />

“Champagne Laurent-Perrier”. Nel <strong>2011</strong> ha pubblicato il<br />

Suo primo libro ‘The Gardens of Luciano Giubbilei’.<br />

Luciano<br />

GIUBBILEI<br />

Luciano was born in Italy and trained at the Inchbald<br />

School of Design in London. Having graduated with merit,<br />

he worked as design assistant to Anthony Paul before<br />

establishing his own garden design practice, Luciano<br />

Giubbilei Design, in 1997. Luciano is known for the<br />

understated elegance of his designs and aims to create a<br />

timeless and harmonious space and his work has gained<br />

an international reputation. He won an RHS Gold Medal<br />

at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2009. In January <strong>2011</strong><br />

Luciano released his first book ‘The Gardens of Luciano<br />

Giubbilei’.
