impiegato da sportwear Argentona si chiama SEAQUAL ed è
frutto del riciclo dei rifiuti del mare, un argomento molto sentito e
attuale. SEAQUAL è prodotto dall’azienda spagnola Seaqual
4U, che in partnership con 400 barche da pesca raccoglie rifiuti
in plastica dai fondali marini: per ogni chilo di fibra prodotto, un
chilo di plastica è rimosso dal mare. Una catena virtuosa che va
dai pescatori ai consumatori finali, passando dai fabbricanti del
filo e dei tessuti e ai brand. SEAQUAL è ora disponibile sia in
versione continua che discontinua. Quest’ultima, in titolazioni che
vanno da 10 a 70 Nm, può essere impiegata in mischia con fibre
naturali come cotone, Tencel, viscosa, lana e lino, ma può essere
usata anche da sola, nella sua naturale tonalità écru oppure tinta.
I nuovi filati continui SEAQUAL sono disponibili nelle titolazioni
50, 78 e 167 decitex. Le nuove tecnologie in materia di filatura
consentono di applicare a questa linea di filati continui trattamenti
speciali di testurizzazione ed elasticizzazione. Dal punto di vista
della performance, questo filato no ha nulla da invidiare al normale
poliestere, mentre per quanto riguarda l’impatto ambientale non c’è
gara: oltre a partecipare attivamente alla pulizia dei fondali marini,
la sua produzione consente un risparmio consistente di acqua
(-40%) e di energia (-50%) e un taglio notevole delle emissioni di
CO2 (-60%).
Anche TESSITURA COLOMBO ha avviato da anni un percorso verso la
sostenibilità ambientale dei propri prodotti. È stata infatti una delle
prime aziende del settore a testare il Nylon rigenerato Q-NOVA®
di Fulgar e gli elastomeri rigenerati di ROICA EF, dando vita nel
2015 ai pizzi della linea Eco-Lace. Oggi l’azienda muove un ulteriore
passo nella direzione giusta presentando in anteprima la nuovissima
tecnologia di tintura del pizzo Eco-Lace con sostanze coloranti
di origine totalmente vegetale. Questa procedura, che prevede
anche un risparmio importante d’acqua, impiega la noce di galla
di sommaco, per un tono crema intenso, il castagno per ottenere
un beige dorato, l’acacia catecù per il suo prezioso effetto rosa
antico e la robbia per un intenso rosso mattone. Quattro tonalità
sofisticate che ritroveremo nella prima Natural Dye Collection di
Tessitura Colombo.
L’approccio green di TESSITURA TAIANA è testimoniato sul versante

the fruit of continuous investments in processes
and materials that are environmentally-friendly,
like, for example, Ecoinnovation, a collection of
products made in compliance with the values
of environmental sustainability, enhanced by
breakthrough innovation created and developed
under the Dreamshape brand. The fabrics
included in the line have been partly made with
recycled polyamide and polyester obtained from
manufacturing waste products, and partly with
the use of stretch ROICA Eco Smart fibers.
The Dreamshape products display differentiated
elasticity, reinforced borders – with the material gripper
replacing the classic elastic bands – and characteristic Body
Mapping which makes it possible to modulate the pressure
of the fabric against the skin. Another new development is
the introduction of an eco-sustainable production technique,
Ecowash, which makes it possible to wash fabrics without
the use of surfactants.
SPORTWEAR ARGENTONA is presenting at MarediModa a
new item intended for the swimwear industry, a fabric made
with the use of recycled polyester. It is called 132001 Ariel (90
g/m², 82%PES/18%EA) and will join the ranks of the other
products in the Ecorec line. The polyester fiber utilized by
Sportwear Argentona is called SEAQUAL and is the fruit
of recycling waste that ends up in the sea, a topic that is as
current as it is filled with emotion. SEAQUAL is produced
by the Spanish company, Seaqual 4U, which in partnership
with some 400 fishing boats collection plastic waste material
from the sea bottom. For every kilogram of product produced
a like quantity of plastic is removed from the sea. A virtuous
chain, so to speak, thus emerges, reaching from the fishermen
to the retail shoppers, passing through the facilities of the
fiber producers and the brand’s weavers. SEAQUAL is
currently available in both a continuous and discontinuous
version. The latter, in counts that run from 10 to 70 Nm, it can
be utilized in blends with natural fibers like cotton, Tencel,
viscose, wool and linen, but may also be used pure, by itself,
in its attractive natural ecru color. The new SEAQUAL
continuous yarns are available in 50, 78 167 decitex counts.
The new technologies in the area of yarns make it possible
to apply to this line of continuous yarns special texturizing
and elasticizing treatments. When it comes to performance,
this yarn is as good as normal polyester, whereas in terms of
environmental compact there is no comparison: in addition
to activing participating in cleaning up the sea bottom, its
production process makes it possible to achieve significant
water (-40%) and energy (-50%) savings, not to mention a
considerable reduction in CO2 emissions (-60%).
