La nostra passione per l’automobile ebbe inizio nel 1892 con l’amicizia tra Arthur Junghans
e i pionieri dell’automobile Wilhelm Maybach e Gottlieb Daimler. Da questa passione sono
nati non solo orologi per auto, ma anche brevetti e prodotti avveniristici quali il “misuratore
della velocità dell’auto” nel 1905 o il “Viadicator”, un antenato delle odierne frecce, nel
1924. Ancor oggi quest’infatuazione si nota nei quadranti dei Meister Driver, che si rifanno
ai quadri dei comandi delle automobili storiche. Il Meister Driver, infatti, coniuga fascino
nostalgico e spirito pionieristico – mettendoli al polso.
Our passion for cars began in 1892 with the friendship between Arthur Junghans and automobile
pioneers Wilhelm Maybach and Gottlieb Daimler. This passion gave rise not only to
car clocks but also to pioneering patents and products such as the “car speed measuring
device” of 1905 or, in 1924, the “Viadicator”, a predecessor of the blinker. This fascination is
still evident today with design of the dashboards in historical vehicles being represented on
the Meister Driver dials. Combining nostalgic flair with a pioneering spirit - on the wrist.
