The secret to good design is time.
Lots of time.
Whether buildings or landscapes, art or design: Well designed objects delight
our senses, relay an inspirational effect and enhance our quality of life. Indeed,
a watch is not crafted simply as a tangible commodity, but rather with the
notion of conceptional worth – time. The distinctive Junghans design culture is
no coincidence: Ever since it was founded, the company has placed great value
on the importance of good product design. This was even verified as such in
1929 in the German Watchmakers Journal. Further evidence in this regard is
the collaboration with Bauhaus scholar Max Bill onwards of 1956. Today, our
in-house design department works on the ideal concept for our time – an
extremely demanding task for which we allow ourselves the respective time
required.
