What to visit

if you have three days

A triptych of places and experiences

for a perfect tour of the city

and its rich surroundings.

Three days in Alghero offer a perfect balance between exploring the

city, its cultural heritage, and the natural beauty of the Regional Natural

Park of Porto Conte.

Day 1

Start your adventure in Alghero by exploring the Historic Centre. The

ideal starting point is the Archaeological Museum, which will allow you

to understand the history and culture of the area. Before immersing

yourself in shopping in the historic centre, visit the Coral Museum to

discover the importance of the Red Coral (Corallium Rubrum) for our

city. Don't miss the chance to see the city from above by visiting the

Monumental Complex of San Francesco and its Bell Tower. Before concluding

the day, make sure to walk along the ramparts at sunset to enjoy

one of the most striking views.

Day 2

Dedicate the second day to the natural wonder of Neptune's Cave. You

can reach it by boat or, if you have transportation, through the 654

steps of the “Cabirol” staircase. After a break, visit the Nuragic Village

of Palmavera. Not far away, some of the most beautiful beaches of

Sardinia await you, where you can relax until late evening.

Day 3

The third day is dedicated to the Natural Park of Porto Conte. 15 Begin your

journey with a visit to Casa Gioiosa, where you can explore several museums

and educational classrooms. Then, with a packed lunch, head towards

the Natural Oasis of Le Prigionette and observe animals in their

natural habitat. Before returning to the city, make a stop at the Roman

Villa of San'Imbenia, one of the most fascinating places in Alghero.
