IL TEATRO DI ALGHERO
THE THEATER • LO TEATRE DE L’ALGUER
Il Teatro civico di Alghero risale al 1862, ed è l’unico in Sardegna con
una struttura portante lignea e ha una facciata in stile neoclassico. Fu
fortemente voluto da alcune famiglie algheresi che facevano parte della
Società degli Amatori del Teatro. Si erge sull’antica Piazza della Carra,
i magazzini del grano.
The Civic Theatre, which dates back to the 1862, is the only theatre
in Sardinia that preserves the original wooden load-bearing structure.
Highly desired by the members of the Theatre Amateurs Society, the theatre
with its neoclassic-style façade was erected in the historical Carra
Square, the area where wheat was once stored.
Lo Teatre Cívic de l’Alguer, remunta al 1862, i és l’únic en Sardenya
amb una estructura de llenya (fusta) i té una fatxada neoclàssica. És estat
fortament volgut de algunes famílies alguereses que feven part de la
Societat dels Amadors del Teatre. Se troba a l’antiga Plaça de la Carra, los
matzems del gra.
