In mostra circa quaranta sculture e altrettanti dipinti
e più di cinquanta disegni dell’artista Mirko Basaldella,
noto come scultore ma anche ottimo disegnatore
e pittore.

La mostra comprende opere dai primi studi svizzeri
sulla natura fino ai grandi cicli su opere della letteratura
europea, da temi mitologici e cristiani ai tardi studi sui
dintorni di Roma. Accanto a disegni originali di Koch
sono esposti anche due ritratti del pittore che dicono
molto sulla personalità e sul temperamento dell’artista.

An exhibition of approximately 40 sculptures and 40 paintings
and over 50 drawings by the artist Mirko Basaldella,
best known as a sculptor but also an excellent drawer and
painter.

The exhibition includes works of art from the first Swiss studies
on nature to the great cycles on European literary
works, from mythological and Christian works to late works
on the surroundings of Rome. Next to the original drawings
by Koch, are two portraits of the artist, which say a lot
about his personality and temperament.

The protagonist of this
exhibition is the excellent
productivity of Italy in the last 50 years. The exhibition
proposes an unusual and original point of view, identifying
‘made in Italy’ as one of the strongest and most significant
factors has contributed from 1961 to date to strengthening
the feeling of national identity.
