Villa Farnesina tra arte e musica

Villa Farnesina, uno dei capolavori
del Rinascimento e sede di
rappresentanza dell’Accademia
Nazionale dei Lincei, apre le sue
sale con visite guidate accompagnate
da un suggestivo sottofondo
di musica rinascimentale,
eseguite con strumenti d’epoca
dalla Schola Romana Ensemble.
Per l’occasione si potranno ammirare i capolavori di
Raffaello, Sebastiano del Piombo, Sodoma e Baldassarre
Peruzzi. Al termine delle visite sarà servito un
aperitivo.

I giorni 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 e 30
luglio alle ore 20: è possibile compiere un insolito
viaggio nella Roma sotterranea guidati da archeologi
e dalla voce di attori professionisti che attraverso la
recitazione di testi letterari di autori latini permetteranno
ai visitatori di rivivere l'atmosfera della città antica
tra i vicoli, i ninfei, le terme e gli splendidi
ambienti affrescati delle domus del Celio con straordinari
affreschi di III – IV secolo d.C. perfettamente
conservati e gli imponenti resti del tempio del Divo
Claudio, trasformato da Nerone nel ninfeo della
Domus aurea, per la prima volta aperto al pubblico in
orario serale.

of the Renaissance and headquarters
of the National
Academy of the Lincei, opens its
rooms for guided tours accompanied
by evocative background
music from the Renaissance, performed
with antique instruments
by the Schola Romana Ensemble.
On the occasion it is possible to admire the masterpieces
by Raffaello, Sebastiano del Piombo, Sodoma and Baldassarre
Peruzzi. At the end of the tour, an aperitif will
be served.

p.m.: visitors take an unusual journey through underground
Rome guided by archaeologists and the voice of
professional actors reciting Latin texts. The atmosphere
of the ancient city is re-created in the alleys, nymphaeums,
baths and splendid frescoed rooms of the domus
on the Celio. There are extraordinary frescos from the
3rd – 4th century AD, perfectly conserved, and the imposing
temple of Claudius the God, transformed by Nero
into the nymphaeum of the Domus Aurea, for the first
time open to the public in the evening.
