Until now spider seasonal dynamics have not been studied in Latvia. Here we are presenting first results on seasonal activity of Lycosidae spiders in dune habitats at the Baltic Sea coast in Latvia. The spiders were collected with modified pitfall traps from April 2 until November 12, 2006. In total 843 adult spiders of 15 species (five genera) and 531 juvenile spiders were collected. We identified high activity periods separately for spring, summer and autumn based on spider numbers. Separately we analyzed Lycosidae activity, but the peaks of activity periods were not statistically significant. Specific species were characteristic for each season: Alopecosa cuneata, Pardosa palustris, P. pullata, Trochosa ruricola and T. terricola for spring; Alopecosa pulverulenta, Pardosa palustris and Xerolycosa miniata for summer (last two species were found only in summer) and Alopecosa fabrilis for autumn and also spring. Arctosa perita was found in all seasons. Alopecosa cuneata was never found in autumn. Inta Jurkjāne inta.jurkjane@tvnet.lv GLIEMJU TIPA (MOLLUSCA) SASTOPAMĪBA DAUGAVAS UPES POSMĀ PIEDRUJA – LĪVĀNI Atslēgas vārdi: Gliemju tips (Mollusca), Daugava, makrozoobentoss. Latvijā pārstāvētas 2 klases gliemenes un gliemeţi (vairāk nekā 130 sugas), no kurām saldūdeľos mīt 59 sugas (no tām gliemenes (Bivalvia) 24 sugas un gliemeţi (Gastropoda) 35 sugas). Darbā tika apkopots Daugavas makrozoobentosa organismu sastāvs upes posmā no Piedrujas-Līvāni, kā arī tika pētītas gliemju tipa (Mollusca) kvantitatīvās svārstības upes posmā Piedruja-Meţciems. Glimju tipa dominējošās sugas ir Theodoxus fluviatilis, Bitynia tentaculata, Viviparus viviparus un Dreissena polymorpha. Apkopojot makrozoobentosa organismu zoocenoţu saprobitātes indeksa datus tika veikta Daugavas upes bioloģiskās kvalitātes novērtēšana. Darbā tika salīdzināta mūsdienu situācija ar agrāk veiktajiem pētījumiem (O. Kačalovas 1961., 1962.g. un mūsdienu dati par 2007. – 2010.g.).

STARPTAUTISKĀS ZINĀTNISKĀS KONFERENCES TĒZES ABSTRACTS OF THE 53 rd INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE OF DAUGAVPILS UNIVERSITY Liene Morkāne liene_morkane14@inbox.lv LAŠVEIDĪGO ZIVJU (REPŠU (COREGONUS ALBULA)) BAROŠANĀS ĪPATNĪBAS LATVIJAS EZEROS Atslēgas vārdi: Lašveidīgie, repši, Latvija, barošanās īpatnības, Coregonus albula Latvija-viena no Austrumeiropas valstīm, kurai raksturīgākais ainavas elements un ekoloģisko ķēţu neatľemama sastāvdaļa ir ezeri. 20.gs.90.gados Coregonus albula bija sastopams tikai 5 ezeros – Eţezerā, Lejas, Nirzas, Rāznas un Usmas ezerā. Repši izzūd no Latvijas ezeriem. Kopš 1995.g. repsis ir iekļauts Latvijas Sarkanās grāmatas reto sugu kategorijā, kā arī ierobeţoti izmantojamo īpaši aizsargājamo sugu sarakstā. Sarūkošā ezeru skaita dēļ ir svarīgi veikt pētījumus par repšu barošanās īpatnībām, dzīves kvalitāti, apkārtējās vides kvalitāti un cilvēku ietekmi uz lašveidīgo zivju ezeriem Latvijas ilgspējīgas attīstības kontekstā. Repsis ir tipisks lašveidīgo zivju pārstāvis Latvijas ezeros un pieder planktofāgo zivju grupai. Viens no iecienītajiem ezeriem ir Sventes. Analizējot zivju kuľģu saturu, tika secināts, ka no ezerā mītošajiem zooplanktona pārstāvjiem repši barojas ar Cyclop sp., Bosmina sp. un Nauplii. Savukārt Drīdzī Coregonus albula labprātāk barojas ar Cyclop sp. Maksims Balalaikins, Andris Bukejs maksims.balalaikins@navigator.lv TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF WEEVILS OF THE GENUS HYLOBIUS (COLEOPTERA: CURCULIONIDAE) IN LATVIA Key words: Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Hylobius, Latvia, Fauna, bibliography, new records This research summarizes information on Hylobius of the Latvian fauna. Complete annotated bibliographical information on this weevil genus in Latvia is given for the first time and more than 1000 specimens were reviewed. The first data on this genus in Latvia was published at the beginning of the 19th century in Groschke (1805) where Curculio abietis L. was mentioned. Four species of Hylobius are registered in Latvia: H. abietis and H. pinastri are very common and widespread species in local fauna; H. piceus is rather infrequent species; H. transversovittatus was recorded in Latvia for the first time and known from single locality in SE Latvia. The number of species of this genus reported from adjacent territories slightly differs: Belarus – 4, Estonia – 3, Lithuania – 3, the Kaliningrad region – 4. Hylobius abietis, H. piceus and H. pinastri feeds on coniferous trees (Pinus and Abies) and they are mentioned as pests, but H. transversovittatus feeds on herbaceous plants (Lythrum).
