OSI Årsberetning 2008 98The club has now in its possession Frisbees (12), cones (20), mesh bibs (7), books (2), megaphone(1).IDRETT/AKTIVITETTrening / instruksjonFrom August to October, 2 hours a week, Tuesday, outside on Blindern campus. From October toDecember (winter time), 1.5 hours a week, Wednesday, outside on the grass field of Domus Athletica. Thefield was not heated, which resulted in difficult playing conditions (snow, ice...).Practices are led by two voluntary experienced players, with at least one for each practice. Instruction waswell organized. The practice begin with warming up, stretching. Drills and technical aspects areperformed. The practice finishes with a game.The progress of participants is visible and the enthusiasm of each gives a very good and friendlyatmosphere. The members were still motivated even during the winter conditions.Treningsleire/samlingerOrganization of a workshop on the 21st of September (learning of the rules, drills, technical aspects,minitournament).We had around 30 participants.KonkurransedeltagelseThe club is now member of the “Norges Frisbeeforbund” (NFF) which involves the participation to theNorwegian Cup (3 tournaments a year). The club took then part to the Desembercup organized on the13th of December. We faced experienced teams and players and could learn a lot about the game itself andits spirit. It was also our first game indoor.SOSIALT SAMKVEMSosiale arrangementerOrganization of a welcome barbecue for the first practice the 26th of August.Introduction of a social beer after practice.Organization of an Ultimate Workshop (Sunday 21st of September), opened to new and advanced players:basic principles, minitournaments, grilling, ...Ultimate Party (15th of November): to say good bye to one of the coach.Tournament and party (after): Lørenskog, the 13th of December.OPPSUMMERING AV ÅRETGenereltThe team has been existing for 5 months and the results are very encouraging. The promotion inside theuniversity results now in 20 official members for this first semester. The team is solid with at least 14participants at each practice. We got very positive feedbacks from other university teams (Bergen andTrondheim), and other teams throughout Norway, which also think that it is important to have auniversity team in Oslo.IdrettsligThe organization of workshop and participation to tournament were two aspects very positive for theteam. We met other teams and experienced players and enjoyed the spirit of this game.SosialtThe social meetings were appreciated and have to be maintained and intensified for next year.AdministrativtThe board learned how to run the club. We appreciated the help from the OSI-styret and hope to havethe same tight communication in the future.
