Brampton City Utd took control early in the game with North York Astros at Victoria Park in Brampton and it was forward Alex Braletic who opened the scoring at 28 minutes and this was followed by a first of three goals by Milos Scepanovic 10 minutes later, a 2-0 Brampton lead at the interval. Scepanovic found the net for the second time at 63 minutes for a 3-0 Brampton lead and forward Jean Tshimpaka made it 4-0 three minutes later. Scepanovic completed the hat-trick at 85 minutes and three minutes later David Velastegui made it 6-0 for the home side, the score at the final whistle. Brantford Galaxy and London City played to a scoreless tie at the interval at Lions Park in Brantford, but the home side took charge in the second half and opened the scoring at 67 minutes when Jeremy Shepherd fed a pass to Dave Simpson to fine the net from 12 yards. Midfielder Adam Leggett made it 2- 0 just two minutes later with a hard drive from 25 yards that caught the top right corner, and nine minutes later Leggett scored a second goal with an individual effort up the right wing before hitting the top of the net for a 3- 0 Galaxy lead. Brantford midfielder Marco Machado took a pass from Dave Simpson to score the fourth goal for the home side at 83 minutes, a 4-0 result at the final whistle. SC Toronto were equally decisive in their 4-0 victory over the Astros at Lamport Stadium, with forward Jarek Whiteman scoring two at 14 minutes and at 89 minutes near the end of the game. Whiteman’s second goal was scored when the striker intercepted a pass by North York’s Stanley Emeka Ugochukwu back to his goalkeeper, Enea Perego, a pass Whiteman quickly put into the back of the net. Sergio De Luca at 29 minutes scored the second goal for SC Toronto and Evroy Junior Ellis struck the third for the home side at 79 minutes. Leitão reduziu dois minutos depois. Buiu fez a igualdade no minuto seguinte. A pouco menos de dois minutos do final, Paulinho atirou ao poste. Na primeira parte do prolongamento, Alex atirou ao poste. Estavam decorridos quase quatro minutos. Diece colocou o Benfica na frente no primeiro minuto do segundo tempo. Davi fez o 5-3, a três minutos do final - os leões protestaram uma falta do Benfica, que o árbitro não assinalou. Buiu reduziu para 5-4. Os encarnados venceram o primeiro jogo por 5-1, mas perderam a segunda e terceira partidas, ambas por 1-2. No quarto jogo as equipas empataram e houve necessidade de ir a penalties. Aí o Benfica foi mais certeiro, adiando a decisão do título para o quinto encontro. NF
