For Android users, the same holds true, with 85% ofthem owning an Android smartphone.Whereas the smartphone reach among Apple andAndroid users is already high, there are more cross-sellingopportunities in the tablet and PC categories. Out of all Appleusers, 34% own a Mac, and 53% own an iPad. For Androidusers, the respective number for tablets is 38%. The list oflaptops and notebooks running Google’s Chrome OS is stillvery short, but if that market begins to gain traction withdevice vendors and consumers, possibilities for cross-sellingwould be especially valuable for the ecosystem once Androidapps can be run on the operating system.When comparing Apple and Android ownership betweenage groups, a similar pattern can be observed: in both cases,younger people own more devices. What is interesting,however, is that the same patterns analyzed by householdincome are very different; while multi-device ownership ofApple devices increases with income, the same does nothold true for Android.
