O Nosso Mundo é Humano
Once Upon a Time in a Human World
Conta-se uma história difícil num cenário de filme mudo que nos
transporta para um universo fantástico: partindo da descrição da
Declaração Universal dos Direitos do Homem, intercalada com
imagens que a ilustram, compõe-se um mundo imaginado, um
mundo humano, que ainda não tem lugar na realidade actual.
Após este momento, em que se contrasta o que centenas de Estados
proclamam e subscrevem, com o que é vivido pela maioria
da população, é-se confrontado com a rotina da realidade; um
esforço contínuo levado a cabo por pessoas e organizações para
converter o absurdo no lógico, ideal no real, falta de acesso em
oportunidades, taxas de mortalidade em ferramentas de combate
a doenças. Nesta fatia da realidade mostra-se o terreno onde a
Helpo desenvolve actividades concretas.

This is a difficult history in a setting of a silent film witch
transports us to an universe of fantasy: from the description
of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, interspersed
with illustrating images, an imagined world is created,
a human world, which still has no place in current reality.
After this moment, comparing what hundreds of States sign and
proclaim with what is experienced by the majority of the populations,
one is confronted with the routine of reality, an ongoing
effort undertaken by individuals and organizations to convert absurd
in the logical, ideal to real, lack of access to opportunities,
rates of mortality into tools to fight diseases. In this slice of reality
it is shown the land where Helpo develops its concrete activities.
