Uma década atrás, após a trágica morte de sua mãe, Elliot Christie
fugiu de casa.
Nesses dez anos, o seu pai, Ross, voltou a casar com a irmã da sua
falecida esposa, e o seu irmão mais novo Brett fechou-se em silêncio.
Neste fim-de-semana Elliot, agora com 29 anos, vem para ser padrinho
do seu meio-irmão mais novo.
No decurso do fim-de-semana, as emoções sobem à medida que vão
sendo expostos os segredos da família.

A decade ago, following his mother’s tragic death, Elliot Christie ran away
from home.
In the ten years gone, his father, Ross has re-married his late wife’s sister,
Diane, and his younger brother Brett has fallen silent.
This weekend 29-year-old Elliot is to be godfather to his new half-brother.
Over the course of the weekend, emotions run high as the family secrets
are exposed.

Anthony Hayes
Actor desde os nove anos, Anthony Hayes, nascido em Brisbane, apareceu
nas telas durante 20 anos, com créditos em múltiplos filmes, incluindo
West, Rabbit-Proof Fence, Bootmen e Ned Kelly, e na TV em
Bastard Boys, Mountain Heroes, Changi e Wildside. Em 1997 o seu papel
em The Boys, valeu-lhe nomeações na AFI e para os Film Critics Circle
Awards. Desde então foi galardoado com os AFI Awards pela sua actuação
nas aclamadas longas-metragens Look Both Ways (2005) e Suburban
Mayhem (2006). Em 2001, Anthony juntou a escrita e a realização
aos seus créditos com New Skin (2002 Dendy Award, Sydney FF), e em
2002 ganhou um IF Award como melhor realizador emergente e uma bolsa
Payten Gloria da Fundação Gloria Dawn, para jovens artistas com a
qual foi para Londres, onde passou algum tempo com cineastas, incluindo

An actor since the age of nine, Brisbane-born Anthony Hayes has appeared
on screens for 20 years, with film credits including West, Rabbit-
Proof Fence, Bootmen and Ned Kelly and TV credits in Bastard Boys, Heroes
Mountain, Changi and Wildside. In 1997 he co-starred in The Boys, a
role that earned him acting nominations in the AFI and Film Critics Circle
Awards. He since has picked up AFI awards for his roles in acclaimed
features Look Both Ways (2005) and Suburban Mayhem (2006).
In 2001 Anthony added writing and directing to his credits with New Skin
(2002 Dendy Award, Sydney FF), and in 2002 he won an IF Award as
the best emerging director and a Gloria Payten/Gloria Dawn Foundation
grant for young artists (He went to London where he spent time with
filmmakers including Mike Leigh. His short film Sweet Dreams was voted
most popular film by the audience at the St Kilda FF in 2003. Since writing
Ten Empty with Brendan Cowell, Anthony has written a new screenplay
that he also hopes to bring to the big screen.
