meses a Diretoria <strong>de</strong> Aves <strong>de</strong>sempenhou<br />

ativida<strong>de</strong>s <strong>de</strong> cuidados<br />

especiais e acompanhamento<br />

biométrico. Após esse período,<br />

os tucanos ficaram sob cuidados<br />

no Berçário e atualmente, já in<strong>de</strong>pen<strong>de</strong>ntes,<br />

se encontram em um<br />

recinto <strong>de</strong> exposição.<br />

O <strong>Zoológico</strong> <strong>de</strong> Brasília realiza<br />

incubação artificial.Como <strong>de</strong><br />

rotina, é realizado protocolo<br />

<strong>de</strong> esterilização na sala <strong>de</strong><br />

incubação e os ovos encubados<br />

são acompanhados através<br />

<strong>de</strong> ovoscopia, pesagens e<br />

gráficos <strong>de</strong> monitoramento até<br />

o nascimento dos filhotes. Em<br />

outubro, tivemos o nascimento <strong>de</strong><br />

Perdizes (Rhynchotus rufescens),<br />

que receberam cuidados diários<br />

supervisionados pelos técnicos<br />
