(Ramphastos toco). Durante 2
meses a Diretoria de Aves desempenhou
atividades de cuidados
especiais e acompanhamento
biométrico. Após esse período,
os tucanos ficaram sob cuidados
no Berçário e atualmente, já independentes,
se encontram em um
recinto de exposição.
During 2 months, the Bird Sector
performed activities of neonatal
care and biometric monitoring.
After this period, the toucans were
under care in the nursery and are
now in an exhibit close to the other
birds.

O Zoológico de Brasília realiza
incubação artificial.Como de
rotina, é realizado protocolo
de esterilização na sala de
incubação e os ovos encubados
são acompanhados através
de ovoscopia, pesagens e
gráficos de monitoramento até
o nascimento dos filhotes. Em
outubro, tivemos o nascimento de
Perdizes (Rhynchotus rufescens),
que receberam cuidados diários
supervisionados pelos técnicos

During the routine, a sterilization
protocol is made in the incubation
room for eggs that are collected
at the institution. These, in turn,
