NOSSO PROJETO É
CONSTRUIR UM
ARMAZÉM NA CALIFÓRNIA,
ONDE JÁ TEMOS PARCEIROS,
LEVANDO PARA OS CLIENTES A
MADEIRA JÁ NACIONALIZADA E
DE ACORDO COM OS PROCESSOS
VIGENTES NO PAÍS
FELIPE MACEDO
NOVOS HORIZONTES
Outro desafio é superar as más impressões geradas no
mercado internacional pelos concorrentes nacionais. “A madeira
seja qual for o tipo de madeira. Madeiras nobres nativas,
A MM Wood Brazil exporta atualmente 5 mil m 3
operation on U.S. soil. “Our project is to build a warehouse
in California, where we already have relationships, providing
customers with timber already nationalized according
to the processes in force in that Country,” stresses the Director.
There are several challenges along the way and the
main one, according to Director Macedo, is related to
Brazilian export legislation, which demands a lot from the
exporter with increasingly more bureaucratic procedures.
“The Government, in the face of market growth, has greatly
limited pine exports and imposes new rules from one hour
to the next,” laments the Director about the new guideline
for exporting timber that exceeds 25 mm in thickness. But,
on the other hand, Wood Buyer Macedo values the importance
of the national raw material. “The processes carried
out are to add better sales values to the product, even if
they require heavy investments,” says the Wood Buyer of
ways to improve results.
NEW HORIZONS
Another challenge is to overcome the wrong impressions
generated in the international market by domestic
competitors. “Brazilian timber, with the quality we guarantee,
has an excellent acceptance in countries with many
buyers, such as China and India. But the lower quality work
by some Brazilian companies hinders our activity,” laments
Director Macedo, who reveals how important it is to maintain
strict criteria with raw material suppliers whatever the
timber species. Native noble timber, for example, is already
part of our business expansion plans. “Already, we have
received several proposals to work with the timber from the
north of Brazil, which has value for the Furniture Sector. This
is a business front that we intend to take to the North American
market,” says the Director.
The Company’s growth counts on more than increasing
the volume of exports and includes the variety of timber
marketed. MM Wood Brazil currently exports 5 thousand
m3 per month and expects to triple this amount by the end
of 2021. For the year 2022, the goal is to reach 23 thousand
m3 every 30 days.
In addition to Partner Felipe Macedo, MM Wood Brazil
counts on Partners Carlos Queiroz and Daniela Bueno to
achieve the objectives set by the Company.
