EM CONSEGUIRAM EXPORTAR? NO QUE O
PODER PÚBLICO PODE TRABALHAR PARA ME-
LHORAR ESSE CENÁRIO?
Nosso maior gargalo, hoje, continua sendo a
falta de contêiner e navio. O governo tem feito e
está fazendo bem seu trabalho de controle, fiscalização
e emissão das autorizações necessárias. Então,
as autorizações estão saindo rápido e a contento,
com análise de forma técnica e segura, claro. Mas
nos próximos meses é que começa a safra, mesmo.
Estávamos na entressafra, então a partir de julho e
agosto é que os trabalhos começam a se intensificar.
Atualmente, a falta de contêiner e navio é o
nosso maior impeditivo, não só do Brasil, mas do
mercado internacional como um todo.
QUAIS AS EXPECTATIVAS DO SETOR PARA
AS EXPORTAÇÕES MADEIREIRAS DO BRASIL
EM 2022? ALGUMA VARIAÇÃO IMPORTANTE
EM COMPARAÇÃO COM 2021?
Com certeza esse ano será muito melhor do que
o ano passado. Porque, ano passado, perdemos
quase 5 meses, onde praticamente não conseguimos
exportar. O governo estava avaliando e ajustando
algumas questões técnicas internas e travou
todo o processo de exportação. Mas esse ano já
começamos a mil por hora, com certeza, vamos fechar
esse primeiro semestre com quase 100% a mais
do que foi exportado o ano passado, e no segundo
semestre já vai ser muito melhor, porque no último
semestre de 2021 passamos ele quase todo parado.
Claro que o câmbio ano passado estava melhor, os
preços são menores agora, mas o volume desse ano
vai ser muito melhor.

Our biggest bottleneck today remains the lack
of containers and ships. The Government has done
its job well and continues to control, supervise, and
issue the necessary authorizations. Thus, the permits
are being issued quickly and to the satisfaction of
the Sector and, of course, with proper technical
and secure analysis. But the harvest begins in the
coming months, so we are now in the off-season,
and work will intensify in July and August. Therefore,
today, the lack of containers and ships is our most
significant impediment in Brazil and worldwide.
WHAT ARE THE SECTOR’S EXPECTATIONS
FOR BRAZIL’S TIMBER EXPORTS IN 2022? ANY
SIGNIFICANT VARIATIONS COMPARED TO
2021?
I’m sure exports this year will be much better
than last year. Because last year, we lost almost
five months, when we could barely export, as the
Government was evaluating and adjusting some
internal technical issues and halted the entire export
process. But this year, we already started at a thousand
per hour, for sure, we will end this first half with
almost 100% more than was exported last year, and
in the second half, it will be much better, because
in the last half of 2021 exports almost all stopped.
Although last year’s exchange rate was better, and
prices were lower, this year’s volume will be much
better.
