CONCLUSIONS
1. The performance of a therapeutical protocol, which meant the gradual descending
administration of ketoprofen, had as purpose the diminishing and even the avoidance, as much
as possible, of the side effects occurrence (gastrointestinal, renal), which are frequently
encountered during ketoprofen administrations that last more than 5 – 7 days, with a dosage of
2 mg/kg/day.
2. No significant side effects were noted after the gradual decreasing dose administration of
ketoprofen, such as gastrointestinal or renal modifications.
3. The efficiency of ketoprofen was noticed even from the 3 rd day of treatment, and the recovery
happened gradually, the normal functioning being noted from the 11 th day of therapy.
4. The hematological and biochemical parameters also returned to normal by the end of the
treatment, in all the studied dogs.
5. It was also observed that the medical substance was well tolerated by all dogs and had a positive
effect on pain reduction and acute inflammation.
