Obruk Mağara Araştırma Grubu (o’mag) olarak Kahramanmaraş’ın 65 km kuzeyinde bulunan
Tekir Kasabası’nın doğusunda, Keş Dağı Düdeni’ni iki yıldır araştırmaktayız. 1800 metre
yükseklikteki bu düdene batan suların aşağıda, 900 metre irtifada bulunan Yeşilgöz Obruğu’ndan
çıktığı düşünülüyor. Düdenle obruk arasındaki uzaklık ise yaklaşık 4.000 metre. 2009 yılındaki
araştırmada hem mağaraya ilk girişler yapılmış, hem de Yeşilgöz Obruğu’na yapılan dalışlarla su
altı mağarasının başlangıcı tespit edilmişti. 2010 yılında ise
-175 metrede başlayan inişin hayallerimizin çok ötesinde derinlikte kesintisiz devasa bir iniş
olduğu anlaşıldı. Dahası, bu noktada mağara birden inanılmaz bir yapısal değişikliğe uğruyor; su
yatağı uçsuz bucaksız görünen bir fay çatlağının bir uç noktasından derinlere doğru iniyordu. Bu
fay çatlağının yan duvarına geçerek yaptığımız döşeme ile -300 m derinliğe ulaştıysak da inişin
dibini henüz göremedik.

KEŞ MOUNTAIN SINKHOLE
As OBRUK Cave Research Group, we’ve been exploring Keş Mountain Sinkhole since two
years which is at 65 km’s north of Kahramanmaraş, high on the mountains at the east of Tekir
Village. It has been believed that the waters of that are entering underground from that cave
which is at 1800 meters of altitude, exists again at Yeşilgöz Dolin, at 900 meters altitude. Total
distance between the doline and sinkhole is roughly 4.000 meters. During the first expedition at
2009, our teams had both dive the Yeşilgöz and found the underwater entrance of the cave, in
addition to cave exploration. By 2010, it was understood that the pit which begins at -175 meters
was far beyond our imaginations; it continues as a single drop to a depth which still unkown.
Moreover, at that point the cave’s stuctural formation has an immense alteration; suddenly the
huge galleries of the cave changed to a very narrow and endlessly long and deep fault fissure.
After a -125 meters descent at that fissure, which means a total depth of -300 meters in the cave,
bottom of the pit still couldn’t be seen. By July 2011, OBRUK’s third exploration at Keş Mountain
Sinkhole will begin.
