Guidedbytheirownvision,theworkinggroupmembershavedefinedadatabaseofproject<br />

ideashavingpotentialtodevelopecoandruraltourism,thusprovidingabasisforcreating<br />

the strategy. Participatory method was selected because it guarantees the mutual<br />

appreciationofdiversityandspecificsofthearea,networkinginterestandreadinessfor<br />

activeparticipationinimplementingthestrategy.<br />

Intheframeworkofthestrategytheobjectives,developmentmeasures,activitiesandproject<br />

ideasweredefined.Withtheirrealization,thepreconditionsofecoandruraldevelopment<br />

acceptingandrespectingtheprinciplesofsustainabledevelopmentwouldbecreated.<br />

Increatingthestrategy,bottomupapproachwasused.Basedonprojectideas,activities,<br />

developmentmeasuresandgoalsweredefined,allinaccordancewiththeoverallvision.<br />

Thisapproachwasusedbecauseitwastheonlywayfordevelopmentstrategytobebased<br />

onrealneedsandcapacitiesoflocalstakeholders.<br />

Activitieswereformedbygroupingequivalentprojectideas,whiledevelopmentmeasures<br />

representasetofactivities.Developmentmeasuresandactivitiesrepresentthebasisfor<br />

realizationofstrategyandserveasthedirectionofdevelopment.Theyareeffectiveuntilall<br />

objectives are achieved. In a technical sense, they are the bridge between the strategic<br />

objectivesandspecificdevelopmentprojects.<br />
