Atklāšana norisināsies vienā no Rīgas simboliskākajām
Tās savstarpēji bagātinājušas cita citu, it
īpaši mūzikā. Atklāšanas norisē simboliski ietverts
šis savstarpējās bagātināšanās rituāls – Rīgas viesi
dāvās bibliotēkas krājumam savu tautu muzikālo
daiļradi, paši pretī saņemot senās melodijas
no latviešu Dainu skapja – seno tautasdziesmu
kolekcijas, kas iekļauta UNESCO pasaules kultūras
vērtību sarakstā.
Pēc Nāciju Grand Prix Rīga 2017 un 3. Eiropas koru
olimpiādes dalībnieku un valstu karogu sagaidīšanas
pie bibliotēkas dalībnieki tiks aicināti bibliotēkas
ātrijā, lai ieklausītos dažādu tautu dziesmās, ļaujot
iepazīt citam citu un saklausīt dažādās, vienojošās
un atšķirīgās kultūras balsis.
Opening
Event
The opening will take place at one of Rīga’s symbolic
venues - the National Library of Latvia, the new building,
which has been a dream of the residents of the
city for a long time. The construction of the library
building was completed in 2014, when Rīga was the
European Capital of Culture. Along with the trading
of goods, Rīga has always been at the crossroads of
various cultures and still is. They have mutually enriched
each other, especially in music. The opening
event symbolically includes this mutually enriching
ritual. Rīga’s guests will present the musical creations
of their nations to the library’s collection and
in return, they will receive ancient melodies from the
Latvian Dainu skapis [Cabinet of Folksongs], a collection
of ancient folksongs which have been included
on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list.
After the arrival of the participants and the national
flags of the Grand Prix of Nations Rīga 2017 and 3 rd
European Choir Games at the entrance, participants
will be invited inside into the atria of the library to listen
to a variety of folk songs, providing an opportunity
for them to get to know each other and to listen to
various, unifying and differing voices of culture.
