Abu Dhabi Ship Building PJSC (ADSB) has released its<br />
financial results for the financial year ended 31 December<br />
2017. Overall, 2017 was another positive year for ADSB,<br />
as the company surpassed targets, re-branded its market<br />
position, and continued to build on the momentum from<br />
all operational segments. In his statement, Dr. Al Mazrouei<br />
called attention to the even more improved financial<br />
position of the company, including increased gross profit<br />
(from AED 256.1 million in 2016 to AED 277.1 million<br />
in 2017), and increased net profit (from AED 61.3 million<br />
in 2016 to AED 104.8 million in 2017). These results<br />
were mainly driven by the increased scope of the awarded<br />
Marine Support Services contract, which covers a period<br />
of three years (until January 2020), and cost efficiencies<br />
within existing Ship Build projects.<br />
Pursuing further achievements, ADSB has handed over<br />
the second vessel “Hmeem” which belongs to The Critical<br />
Infrastructure & Coastal Protection Authority to the<br />
Armed Forces.<br />
Abu Dhabi Ports announced the launch of the first<br />
Port Digital Innovation Lab, as part of its commitment<br />
to innovation, through providing a platform for creative<br />
minds in the UAE to develop innovative solutions and<br />
technological applications to meet trade and industry<br />
needs. The lab is located at Maqta Gateway, an Abu<br />
Dhabi Ports subsidiary, the developer and operator of<br />
the first port community system in the emirate.<br />

"أبوظبي لبناء السفن" تسجل ثاني أعلى األرباح السنوية في تاريخها<br />
أعلنت شركة أبوظبي لبناء السفن عن نتائجها المالية للسنة<br />
المنتهية يف 31 ديسمبر 2017 م. وأرفقت تقرير نتائجها مع بيان<br />
الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة سعادة الدكتور خالد المزروعي، الذي<br />
ألقى من خالله الضوء على اإلنجازات الناجحة ألعمال الشركة خالل<br />
السنة المنصرمة.<br />
وأشار الدكتور المزروعي يف بيانه إىل تحسن الوضع المايل للشركة،<br />
بما يف ذلك ارتفاع إجمايل الربح )من 256.1 مليون درهم يف عام<br />
2016 إىل 277.1 مليون درهم يف عام 2017(، وزيادة صايف األرباح<br />
)من 61.3 مليون درهم يف 2016 إىل 104.8 مليون درهم يف عام<br />
2017(. وضمن إنجازاتها المتواصلة، سلَّمت شركة أبوظبي لبناء<br />
السفن السفينة الثانية "حميم" للقوات المسلحة والخاصة بجهاز<br />
حماية المنشآت الحيوية والسواحل. وتعد "حميم" ثاين سفينة تقوم<br />
بتسليمها شركة أبوظبي لبناء السفن لصالح جهاز حماية المنشآت<br />
الحيوية والسواحل يف إطار مشروع "أريلة" الذي تضمن إنشاء<br />
سفينتين متطورتين بطول 67 متراً والذي تم تدشين نسختها األوىل<br />
على هامش معرضي أيدكس ونافدكس فبراير 2017.<br />
