People consider as carpets
contain all kind of stains,
allergens and bacteria and they
are always dirty and bad for people
with asthma or allergies. Hard
surfaced floors are better solution
or are they? Dust, pollens and other
particles on hard surfaces are
constantly moving into the air. While
carpets work like passive air filters
that can trap all kind of particles.
Which is better, dirty carpets or
airborned particullers? Modern
production techniques also enhance
carpets with noise reduction,
insulation, stain resistance, softness,
cooling effect. Isn’t that magic? A new
era of carpets is laying the ground for
the health of all of us.
Boyteks set out to develop probiotic
technology for use in carpets. It is
completely natural and effective
protection against hazardous
organisms. This technology called as
“Proactive”.
Boyteks Proactive Carpet Advantages
• Unlike ordinary antibacterial
methods, it is a completely natural
application.
• Provides natural protection by
effectively preventing the growth of
hazardous bacteria, fungi and dust
mites.
• Helps to minimize the allergic
effects of dust mites.
• Helps reduce the incidence of
unwanted odors caused by bacterias.
• Entirely harmless for human
health.
In 2005, results of a study conducted
by the DAAB (German Allergy and
Asthma Society) were published in
the German Magazine ALLERGIE
Konkret. The article outlined the
specifics of the study, and highlighted
the message that carpet actually
improves air quality:
“The core result of the study is,
however, clear: In a room with a bare
floor, the risk of more airborne fine
particulate rises, while the use of
carpeting minimizes this risk.”
Most people understand that carpet
holds allergens such as dust, dander,
hair, etc. But instead of being a
drawback to carpet, that is actually a
huge advantage, especially to those
who are sensitive to such allergens.
The same allergens on a hard surface
floor, such as hardwood or vinyl
flooring, are free to move around.
As the air stirs, caused by a breeze
through an open window or even just
people walking around, the dust,
hair, and everything else on the floor
gets blown up into the air, where they
are then breathed in by those in the
home.
By contrast with carpet holds onto
the allergens and does not release
them into the air, thereby trapping
them where they cannot be inhaled.
Thus, the air quality in carpeted areas
is actually better than that of noncarpeted
areas.
