festival… We tied with the Cree dancers
from Whapmagoostui so we danced
again the night after and we won first
place … So far, I have won all the competitions

keep my feet still and when I dance, I just
let myself go and let the music move me.”

Nunavik music and cultural festivals, Kuujjuaraapik’s community
spirit on display during this autumn’s festival will
continue to warm the hearts of many who were there for
some time to come.
