The City of <strong>Palm</strong> Spr<strong>in</strong>gs established the Human<br />

Rights Commission <strong>in</strong> 1992. This Commission<br />

is appo<strong>in</strong>ted by the City Council and meets at<br />

3:00 P.M. the second Monday of the month at<br />

City Hall, 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, <strong>Palm</strong><br />

Spr<strong>in</strong>gs, CA. All are welcome <strong>to</strong> attend.<br />

<strong>2017</strong> Community Service Awards <strong>to</strong> be presented<br />

<strong>to</strong> the follow<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>dividuals and organizations.<br />

Created the Bianca Rae foundation, becom<strong>in</strong>g a<br />

voice for those cannot speak. She uniquely uses<br />

the voice she has through the media for those <strong>in</strong><br />

Will Paige, Publisher Desert Daily Guide. Will<br />

has helped countless nonprofit organizations<br />

and equality events by promot<strong>in</strong>g them <strong>in</strong> <strong>DDG</strong>,<br />

provid<strong>in</strong>g a voice for the disenfranchised with a<br />

platform <strong>to</strong> educate the community that serves<br />

as a resource for nonprofits across the Coachella-<br />

Valley.<br />

Lisa Middle<strong>to</strong>n, active Transgender community<br />

leader who works tirelessly build<strong>in</strong>g bridges with<strong>in</strong><br />

the community and promot<strong>in</strong>g collaborative<br />

relationships between neighborhoods and citizens<br />

of <strong>Palm</strong> Spr<strong>in</strong>gs.<br />
