Lenzing is starting the most ambitious expansion program in its company history and wants
to invest up to Eur 1.5 bill. by 2014.
Lenzing startet das ehrgeizigste Expansionsprogramm in der unternehmensgeschichte und will
bis 2014 bis zu 1,5 Mrd. Eur investieren.
Achieving these goals is based on the most ambitious expansion
program in the company’s history featuring expansion
investments at almost every facility. Some highlights include
construction of a TEnCEL ® factory in Lenzing, SpV’s fifth
production line, expansion of the nanjing/China site and the
new fiber production plant in india. This is being accompanied
by modernization and upgrading investments in mobile/
Alabama, Heiligenkreuz/burgenland and grimsby/uK, along
with the increased modal capacity in Lenzing. on balance,
the strategy calls for raising the current capacity of close to
700,000 tons p.a. by about 40%.
one of the key areas will also be ensuring the supply of pulp.
biocel paskov, the Czech factory acquired in 2010, is currently
being converted into a swing capacity for fibers and paper
pulp. “However, we are still looking around the whole world for
additional own pulp capacities,” peter untersperger reveals.
on balance, Lenzing wants to invest up to Eur 1.5 bill. in the
years leading up to 2014.
Diese ziele sollen durch das bisher ehrgeizigste Expansionsprogramm
in der unternehmensgeschichte mit Erweiterungsinvestitionen
an fast allen standorten erreicht werden. Einige Höhepunkte
darin sind der Bau einer TEnCEL ® Fabrik am standort
Lenzing, die fünfte Linie bei spV, der Ausbau nanjing/China
und das neue Faserproduktionswerk in indien. Dazu kommen
Erweiterungs- und umbauinvestitionen in Mobile/Alabama, Heiligenkreuz/Burgenland,
Grimsby/uK sowie die Erweiterung der
Modal Kapazitäten in Lenzing. in summe sollen die Kapazitäten
von derzeit knapp 700.000 to p. a. nochmals um rund 40 % angehoben
werden.
Einer der schlüsselbereiche wird auch die zellstoffversorgung
sein. Das 2010 erworbene tschechische Werk Biocel paskov wird
gerade zu einer swing-Kapazität für Faser- und papierzellstoff umgebaut.
„Wir sehen uns aber auf der ganzen Welt noch für zusätzliche
eigene zellstoffkapazitäten um“, verrät peter untersperger.
insgesamt will Lenzing in den kommenden Jahren bis 2014 bis
zu 1,5 Mrd. Eur investieren.
