important market for <strong>Lenzing</strong>’s business unit nonwovens.<br />
in the last three years alone <strong>Lenzing</strong> managed to double its<br />
sales in Asia to about 23% <strong>of</strong> the business unit’s annual revenues<br />
in 2010. <strong>The</strong>re is no end in sight to this trend, according to<br />
Wolfgang plasser, Vice president nonwoven Fibers. “We expect<br />
overall sales volume to double once again by 2015. on balance,<br />
the nonwovens market in Asia is expanding by an average rate<br />
<strong>of</strong> about 12% annually.” <strong>The</strong> reason for this development is the<br />
growing population as well as the increasing prosperity in the<br />
emerging markets. As a result, more and more people both aspire<br />
to use and can afford consumer products and toiletries.<br />
